Allen West “Are we going to promote an opportunity society or a dependency society?

Col. Allen West, former GOP U.S. Congressman from Florida, said at a Thursday morning panel focused on the devastating economic impacts of amnesty that economic policies that displace black youths from jobs—like President Barack Obama’s immigration policies—have led to fads like the “knockout game.”

The panel, hosted by the nonpartisan pro-jobs group  Americans4Work and featuring West and other leaders on immigration policy, focused intensely on how the economy has not gotten better around the country for many groups of Americans, including the black community. They noted how the immigration policies proposed by the president and some in Congress would not help the situation.

West and fellow panelist Professor Jan Ting of Temple University were discussing what they called the “new normal” in America—how Americans are not succeeding independent of the government in record numbers.

“What we don’t want to see happening in the United States of America is this second and third generation of welfare,” West said. ”That becomes the new normal. When you look and see your mother and your father or your grandmother or your aunt or uncle, whoever is raising you, that they were born in Section Eight housing, their kids were in Section Eight housing. And therefore, you think there is no place else for me to go but Section Eight housing.”

Allen West “The initial words were that of a whiner” Regarding Presidents Presser

AWontrGreta

by Allen West via Facebook

With all earnest intent, I awaited hearing from President Obama just now. I was expecting the Chief Executive Officer of these United States of America to come out and present a vision, way ahead during this fiscal maelstrom. Instead the initial words were that of a whiner who just wants to have his way. Therefore, I muted Obama, as I am quite sure millions of Americans are doing. Sir, regardless of the polls that purport to measure your “likeability,” respect is given where respect is earned. And you’re not earning it right now.

Today, we remember those who lost their lives to terrorism, and those in uniform who are still fighting to defeat it.

While we remember those lost –we must also never forget the ‘leaders’ who abandoned Americans under attack to die, and still work to deceive us as to why.

On this day, let us remember the enemy who brazenly attacked us has not been defeated, and will continue to attack, simply because we are a nation and a people who believe in individual liberty.

God bless the greatest nation the world has ever known, these United States of America.

Our Shining City On The Hill Is In Plain Site, Can We Push Her Across The Finish Line?

We are nearing the finish line. Our quest to regain our Republic is in plain site. We still have a long road to hoe but the vision of our Shining City on the Hill is a glorious vision that is within our grasp. America is a great nation and most of the people who live here understand what it means to be free, to have liberties and to know why and how we have them today.

“Peace Through Strength” we are a nation that has stood by this adage since it’s conception many, many years ago. We have fought great battles, we have made many mistakes but America still stands. As an example to the rest of the world, we are a beacon of Freedom. To those people who understand the concept of a free country, it is imperative to remain loyal to the ideals and the foundations constructed by our Founding Fathers. The blood that has been shed over centuries and the many lives lost are a constant reminder that freedom is more than just a word, it comes with a heavy price.

There are those that believe that we can remain all of these things without exhibiting and showing the rest of the world that we are a strong and mighty force to be reckoned with and they believe that compromise and tolerance is the answer. They are wrong.

Sadly, the entitlement society of today raises their children to believe that they are owed something for nothing.  This constant misinterpretation of the facts and the progressive ideology has been fed to them most of their lives. In a lot of cases, they are raised in environments that are conducive to that way of thinking and therefore have no other knowledge. Americans have become conditioned to look to the government, to be the answer to all of their problems.

How do we as a society reverse the damage?

After the four years we have endured under the current administration we have a window of opportunity on November 6, 2012. When we as a nation come together and vote for Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.  The change from a community organizer to a strong  principled leader. A leader with the courage, the competence, the commitment, the conviction and the character to step up and do the things that are right, to accept the future and the legacy for this great republic that’s threatened right now.

Mitt Romney will help redirect this nation back to a limited government with fiscal responsibility and free market solutions. But more importantly, get us away from leadership by entitlement.  He will offer solutions to assist our small businesses, infuse our economy, lower our unemployment numbers, give our Military much deserved and well needed encouragement with a Commander In Chief who will not stand down or leave anyone behind. A Romney administration will reorganize our safety nets so they will be there for our children and most importantly give strength to our National Security.

“We know that peace is the condition under which mankind was meant to flourish. Yet peace does not exist of its own will. It depends on us, on our courage to build it and guard it and pass it on to future generations. George Washington’s words may seem hard and cold today, but history has proven him right again and again. “To be prepared for war,” he said, “is one of the most effective means of preserving peace.” Well, to those who think strength provokes conflict, Will Rogers had his own answer. He said of the world heavyweight champion of his day: “I’ve never seen anyone insult Jack Dempsey.” – President Ronald Reagan

This country is at a crossroads. We can either continue the path we are going down now and end up a third world country with unimaginable levels of poverty and debt leaving nothing to our children by re-electing Obama. Or, we can elect two men with a real plan for this country that can change that downward spiral and that is Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan.

I will not go quietly, I am a patriot.

Definition of patriot: A person who vigorously supports their country and is prepared to defend it against enemies or detractors.

We are not defined by race, creed, ethnicity, religion, wealth, education or political affiliation, but by our devotion to our Creator, and the Liberty He entrusted to us, one and all.

As patriots of the United States of America, we will rise up and be heard. A patriot will not surrender freedom and liberties which are being whittled away by the liberals and fence straddlers who wish to dictate and enslave those rights this nation fought hard to obtain.

As a patriot of this country I will not be swindled by the smears and attacks on my fellow patriot friends and countrymen. I will stand up for the loyal and good left in this nation. I urge you to do the same.

I stand with Congressman Allen West and all patriots united in the cause to ensure we are always that shining city on the hill. Support Strong and sound patriots in the upcoming elections. We made our voices heard in 2010, let us continue in 2012 and beyond. I will not go quietly, will you?

America is Good – By Mark Bonner

by Mark Bonner

A Nation is defined by common language, border, and culture. Never, not once in the long annals of Human History, has a Nation survived, that did not recognize and adhere to this definition of what defines a Nation. “Multiculturalism” is a word that sounds nice, pretty, and nonthreatening.

In reality it robs a Nation of it’s soul and identity. It ultimately will and always has resulted in the fall of a Nation. There is not one exception to this rule. America has been the most kind, benevolent, and inviting Nation in the History of the World. If this were not true, then why would America be the dreamed destination of so many oppressed people throughout the Generations. They did not come to America for multiculturalism, but rather they were drawn to America because of what America stood for. A land of Freedom, a land where you could pursue your hopes, dreams, and ambitions. However, when America was great it was because we welcomed these immigrants with these three conditions.

If you wanted to be an American you had to recognize our common border, language, and culture. You came to America to be an American, not to be an extension of the Country you were fleeing. Multiculturalism has been the catch phrase in Europe for two decades now. Geopolitical trends always seem to start in Europe and eventually end find their way into America. Ask the Countries of Europe how multiculturalism has worded for them. The Nations of Europe are in Disarray. Many in Europe are now minorities in their own lands. They are defined by lost generations, chaos, war and fighting. Islam has stepped into this vacuum of multiculturalism and now are imposing their Sharia Law into the fabric of these societies. Christians are being killed and persecuted. Women are being oppressed.

Unlike America, where are founders fled a theocracy(a religion that imposes its will and form of government on a people) our founders forged a document that allowed people of all true Faiths to worship without fear or intimidation. Try expressing your Faith in these Countries that embraced “multiculturalism” decades ago. The odds are becoming increasing greater by the day that you will not come home alive.

America, is a good.

America is not perfect. Like people a Nation has it flaws. America was blighted by the sin of endorsing slavery, but in the end American did the right thing. That is what makes America Great, in the end we do the right thing. Our soil is tinged with the blood of young white American soldiers whose blood was shed to right the wrong of slavery. Hundreds of thousands of white soldiers died to atone for this wrong. Name me one other Country that has a Heritage like this. You will not find it. It could only happen in America.

God Bless America, my home sweet home.

Rep Allen West – Weekly E-Newsletter, Legislative Update and more

Dear Patriot,

Greetings to our constituents, fellow Floridians, and all Americans, it is just amazing to me how fast the year has gone by. It seems like only  yesterday the 112th Congress was sworn in on January 5th.

I am recovering this morning from Sunday when I ran in the Palm Beach half-marathon- see story here– in West Palm Beach.  I dedicated my run to young Max Bello of Jupiter who suffers from juvenile diabetes. Max and I ran the first 3.5 miles together. What an incredible day!

In other news,  the new unemployment numbers were released this past Friday and there are those who are taking credit and celebrating. The “new” unemployment rate is 8.6% but that number does not tell the entire story. We also witnessed some 315,000 Americans who have completely given up searching for employment and therefore dropped from the workforce. We also remain concerned about the large number of underemployed Americans. In addition, with the upcoming holidays there is seasonal employment. There are conservative estimates the actual national unemployment rate is closer to 10.2%.

Forty two percent of  Americans have been unemployed for at least six months. Jobless claims were up at 402,000 and yes, there was an anemic 120,000 jobs added — which mainly seem to be in retail.  Which makes one wonder why the President would delay the Keystone XL pipeline project until after the election in November 2012? Based upon testimony at a congressional hearing this week, seems even the President’s union pals are not happy.

And a funny thing happened as well this week: the Department of Labor went back and “revised” the jobs created numbers for two previous months.

There are now 23 pieces of policy legislation passed in the House of Representatives relating to job creation sitting on U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid’s desk. If we do not develop policies that promote confidence and certainty for our private sector, small businesses and corporations, then we shall not truly move the needle.

The current debate on Capitol Hill centers on another manipulative “fix” for our abysmal economic situation in America. The sad truth is there are those on both sides of the aisle who believe the American people are not competent enough to understand their political gimmicks aimed at personal electoral gain.

The temporary payroll tax cut has done nothing to stimulate our economy in this past year. We have seen Gross Domestic Product (GDP) growth in America over the past three quarters at only 0.4%, 1.0%, and 2.0%. Social Security, which is the primary recipient of payroll taxes, ran a deficit this year because of this payroll tax cut. For the third straight year we had a federal deficit of more than $1 trillion.

However, the political messaging wants to focus the American people on short-term “candy” which is in truth, long-term “poison.” We are in essence brokering our fiscal future for the insidious masquerade of immediate gratification for the American people.   Listen carefully, for this is nothing more than a simple attempt to buy votes.

Do we want to do something substantial?  Why not take the 2% that we are cutting off the payroll tax and apply it to income tax rates and make it retroactive to January 1, 2011? That is a viable solution, not a temporary fix, which means we would not have to come back and debate the same issue a year later.

As well, how has extending unemployment insurance, not “paid for” I might add, helped our jobs situation in America? It has not. What it has done is create and expand a victim class, totally dependent on subsistence from the Federal Government. Some on the other side of the aisle talk as if they are really concerned about Americans, but they seem not to be. It seems they only want economic slaves wedded to them for their “perceived” political survival.

So no, I will not vote to extend these gimmicks of political and economic enslavement of my fellow countrymen. I shall continue to fight for all Americans to restore our economic security and strength through fiscal policies and reform that are rooted in principle, not politics.   The America I know and love, for which I was willing to sacrifice my life, is worth this fight. This is not about class. America is not about class. America is about the individual freedom that enables an entrepreneurial spirit to flourish for ALL Americans to achieve their dreams and ambitions.

Our economy has a gunshot wound to the chest… no more band-aids!

Lastly, thanks President Barack Obama- looks like radical Islamists will have a 60-65% control of the Egyptian government. You are now right there with President Jimmy Carter for being a total failure in Middle East foreign policy. Is this what you meant by an Arab Spring?  More like Arab winter.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Throwing them ALL under the bus, the division of the United States of America – by Tanya Grimsley

Here it comes friends, my second attempt at a blog article. I am praying for clarity as I write this.

My heart is aching terribly for my fellow Americans and this great nation. The United States of America. I am an avid social networker and socially active on all levels in supporting the re-election of Congressman Allen West to Florida’s Congressional District 22. I frequent many websites, blogs, social networks and twitter daily. This is why I have sat down tonight to complete the thoughts and feelings running through my mind.

I have friends all over the social networks. Everyone has their own agenda’s, their own candidates, their own priorities and their own style’s. As I watch the twitter feed scroll by at mach two speed I see and read things  just like everyone else. What I am looking for is information. The information to make a sound decision as We The People are vetting candidates for the GOP to run up against Barack Hussein Obama.

Despite the best intentions by some people who are actively helping people obtain the information they desire about candidates, there are those who use the opportunity to tear down not only the candidate, but also the person who is trying to educate and inform him or herself. The idea of vetting our candidates before we elect them was established a long time ago and for good reason. It’s a process of examination and evaluation, generally referring to performing a background check on someone before offering him or her employment. Considering this is the highest office of employment to hold, it’s probably a good idea, not to mention our 44th selection was never vetted and thus we have arrived here. I could tell you all the things wrong with our country, but you already know. This could be a bash Obama blog, but nope, not going there either. I just want to say a few things that are important to me as a free citizen of the United States of America.

One, we can all maintain ourselves, most everyone actively involved are adults. Contrary to popular opinion, just because you like TYPE A candidate and your facebook buddy likes TYPE B doesn’t mean you can’t engage in civil conversations and or discussions about them both without losing a friendship. The primaries will be going on for a while, information, debates and histories of each candidate is readily available at the touch of a “google” prompted search. If you don’t feel confident enough to believe what your reading, then ask around, engage in healthy debates.

Two, each candidate currently running to get the glory of running up against Barrack Hussein Obama is one hundred percent more qualified then he is at this stage in his presidency. Yes, we all want to know the voting records (if applicable), the on the job performances, the financial aspects, qualifications and more for each one of the candidates. But, at what point do you cross the line from being helpful, informative and actively having civil conversations to bashing each others candidates in favor of yours? When did the freedom to choose out of free will did your opinion become that of another United States Citizen? Here is my point, if your actively representing the candidate you feel would be the most qualified to run for President (or any office), how in the world are you helping represent that person by being condescending? Is it that difficult to be civil to another person who may not have the same points of view?

Third, there is no such thing as a “perfect” person, none, zip, zilch, zero. Jesus Christ is the only known perfect person and he is not running for office, he truly holds the highest office and to this I am eternally grateful. So, if there is no such thing as a perfect person where is this “throwing them all under the bus” mentality coming from? Is this helping the conservative cause? Is this helping those needing help in smaller, home town type elections to be a rising force in say, US Congress, US Senate, Governor, Mayor, etc..? I ask each and every one of you reading this to stand back, take a deep breath and realize, people make mistakes, people have pasts, people don’t always make the best decision, or cast the perfect vote. People are human beings that make errors, but we must turn the other cheek, stand up, dust them off, find the strongest of the bunch, give them all the support they could ever ask for and place the person at the forefront of whatever election they are a part of.

Finally, take a look at the new up and coming faces for the 2012 Elections, support them, give them grassroots, social network support. The key to helping change things starts one tiny step at a time and it starts right in your own districts. Quit infighting, quit bashing one another, stop digging up all the dirt and skeletons from the past and work towards the common goal. So what if Suzy may not like your candidate choice, but you can remain friends and support your own personal choices up until the election, because, and hear me well, one of them will win, then you must unite to defeat the opposing party. Throwing each others candidates under the bus, mudslinging and the uncivility must stop within our party and we must get actively involved for the common goals we seek. The division of The United States of America is not an option for me, I pray that with all that is in me that you will see the danger and avoid it. If you were doing it, stop it. Unite this party, stand arm in arm with your neighbors and let’s get to 2012 together as friends and fellow American’s.

Thanks for listening,

Actively Supporting All Patriot Candidates in 2012 & Standing by & Supporting the Re-Election of Congressman Allen West of Florida

Why I continue my steadfast and loyal stand with Congressman Allen West

by Tanya D. Grimsley

I have never blogged a day in my life. I have written many comments on Facebook, Twitter, Google and many other social networks. I have never felt like I could truly articulate anything that I had to say and make it something worth reading. Bare with me friends, this is a new road for me to travel down and I speak and feel with high emotion about very few things. They are, God, Family, Country, Our Military and Congressman Allen West of Florida’s Congressional District 22.

I found a voice one day inside myself not wanting to be silent anymore. I had approximately 49 Facebook friends and a desire to learn more. You see, after listening to Glenn Beck say it so many times “Do the research” and Sarah Palin standing up for us little folks I realized I have this voice, this passion, this desire to want to do more for my family, my country, my fellow American’s. But how? I was so afraid to accept friendship requests or branch out and try anything new but I had to start somewhere. I would post an occasional news article and then sit and wait for someone to get upset about what I posted. I sometimes went as far as to immediately delete the post out of worry.

Then I met a wonderful friend by the name of Mark Bonner on Facebook. Mark’s love for this country, his passion, desires and messages are crystal clear to all who know him. I began to feed off of everything he did. The style, the presentations, the class act that he personifies in everything he does. I was hooked, I wanted to be just like him. I wanted to know all of his friends and to be friends with them. Mark’s following of grassroots, God fearing patriots lead me to some of the most incredible friendships a girl could ever ask for. Mark and I have a mutual friend John Swetland, that  ignited us daily to get our friends motivated by passing along fantastic articles and information on a little known (then) potential congressional candidate out of Florida, Congressman Allen B. West, retired US Army LTC. Then came the video that would rock my little conservative heart to the core.

It is 5 minutes and 59 seconds worth of truths.

Please understand, I never wanted to engage in political discussions with anyone. I didn’t feel strong enough to say the things I wanted to say. So little by little I would get more information on Allen West and between Mark Bonner, John Swetland and a few other Facebook friends we started to put his message out on the world wide web. People were astounded, amazed, proud, thankful and most of all they were willing to take the extra step and share with their friends.

This is how a (Ret) (LTC) can get elected to US Congress. Social Networking, solid grassroots patriots willing to take a step forward, stand up, share the message. You don’t need to cower because of friends you may offend, or you may not want to have “that political discussion” with. You, as an American, must be true to you. What matters to you? How much does it really mean? Will you stand down and only share and promote certain things to certain people? Will you shout it from the highest mountain top that you mean what you say and it’s okay to lose a few friends in the process because you gained respect from the ones that agreed.

I have a desire to get up every day because of my 21 and 6 year old sons. I can maintain my daily life, no matter what road I am going down because of my Lord and Savior. I don’t live in a nice house or a good neighborhood. I don’t have a two family income, health insurance or all the things that most of you have as a reason to fight for the “right” side. I should be fighting the fight for the other side. I choose not too because I know the difference in right and wrong. Rep Allen West states clearly “promote the general welfare, not provide welfare.”

I have finally found my drive, you know, the one that gets your motor running. The motivation that helps take the car out of neutral. Congressman Allen West, Florida CD22. My days are spent spreading his brand of conservatism, his schedules, his messages to those American Patriots who desire to want this great nation back to it’s original foundations. Congressman Allen West personifies true grassroots Statesmanship.

Thank you for taking the time to read my very first blurb/blog. I hope and pray that you will “do the research” find your voices, get to the root of what gets your car into “drive” and make things happen across this nation. I believe we all have it inside of us, we just have to start the engine.
