Allen West Guardian PAC Endorsed Candidates Need Your Support @dbongino @miablove @RepTomCotton

Forty years ago, 72% of House lawmakers and 78% of those in the Senate had served in the armed forces. Veteran representation on Capitol Hill has been steadily declining since the early 1970s, largely a result of the World War II generation steadily leaving public office. But those who have served in the military have a better understanding and a deeper comprehension of issues involving national security, armed services and veteran issues –issues no less important now than they were 40 years ago.

Colonel West was one of only four black Republicans to serve in the United States House of Representatives in nearly a century. In the Senate, there have been only two. As the demographics of the U.S. population shift, it becomes ever more critical to increase representation by not only black, but Hispanic and Asian American leaders as well.

The leadership PAC Colonel West established during the 2012 election cycle with the same mission helped 7 military veteran candidates win their seats in the House of Representatives.

We must ensure conservative leaders are elected who will stand as guardians of our constitutional republic, to restore our nation’s fiscal responsibility and strong national defense, limit the growth of government, unleash the free market and preserve the liberty and sovereignty of its citizens.

A Man of Principle for US Senate | Rep Tom Cotton | Allen West Guardian Fund

Do you want to take back the U.S. Senate?

The Guardian Fund has endorsed freshman Congressman Tom Cotton of Arkansas in his bid for U.S. Senate against Mark Pryor, an entrenched Democrat. Tom is a rising star in the Republican Party and without a doubt one of the brightest spots in American politics today.

The Left knows they’re in grave danger of losing control in the Senate if they can’t defend this seat, so they’re already gunning for Tom. More than a year before Election Day, the Democrat establishment is running ads smearing Tom’s record in Congress with lies and trying desperately to destroy his character. These attacks are false and we need to fight back on Tom’s behalf right now.

The Guardian Fund is building up an arsenal to defeat the left’s attacks against Tom and all of our endorsed candidates and our goal is to raise $250,000 online between now and the end of the year. Your donation today of $25, $50, $100, or more will play a key role in our success.

An Army combat veteran who led troops in Iraq and Afghanistan, Tom Cotton is a man of principle who knows what it means to lead. To say America needs Tom- and more like him — in the United States Senate to do battle with Harry Reid is an understatement.

That’s precisely why the liberal fundraising machine is already funneling money into Arkansas to destroy Tom on the airwaves. Trust me—they’re ready and willing to invest millions in this race. Tom is going to need the help of conservatives nationwide to come out on top.

So can I count on you to make sure the Guardian Fund has the resources to defend Tom Cotton and all of our endorsed candidates? Please follow this link to donate $25, $50, $100, or more today.

Thank you in advance for your support of the Guardian Fund and this great patriot, Tom Cotton.

Steadfast and loyal,
Allen West

by Allen West via Facebook

I’m watching the spectacle occurring on the Senate floor. They have passed the 60 vote threshold for ending cloture. I want the American people to understand that tonight the Constitutional Republic we know as America has suffered a horrible defeat. Obamacare is not the law of the land. It is an edict handed down by a tyrant, not a President. The US Senate has just voted to affirm a new precedent that the executive branch can amend law without Congressional approval, and Congress allows it. The waivers, exemptions, and delays implemented by President Obama have delineated a separation, not of powers, but between the political elite and their cronies – and you, my fellow Americans. This is reprehensible, and we can expect even more bad behavior from a President that continues to spit on our Constitution and in our eyes…and smile. The incessant government spending continues with no solution for economic growth. Anyone voting for this tonight owes some explaining to Americans….but maybe not. As Obama stated, “I won.”

@AllenWest ” We just witnessed the despicable failure of American stewardship by Harry Reid and the Senate”

by Allen West via Facebook

In Washington DC there are three things that must be balanced: politics, policy, and procedure. We just witnessed the despicable failure of American stewardship by Harry Reid and the Senate liberal progressives in killing the House legislation that leveled the playing field for hardworking middle income American families. Instead, led by the egomaniacal, arrogant Barack Obama, Democrats have proven themselves hypocritical elitists who seek to abuse the American people in the political game of “blame checkers” to attain power. I think if Assad, Putin, or Rouhani were House Speaker there would have been more communication. The House GOP is focused on good policy, as Obamacare is an abysmal partisan piece of garbage. The House GOP should now follow regular order procedure and pass prioritized federal government spending bills. America, let us promise to never again elect as President any charismatic, community organizing liars who play lots of golf.

Allen West “Our resources are not their toys and our lives are not for their manipulation”

by Allen West via Facebook

Yesterday was a great day here in Louisiana, spending time with folks in Lafayette and Baton Rouge. Today I’ll get a chance to visit the National World War II Memorial in New Orleans before heading home. However, one thing sticks with me from my time here in the beautiful Bayou State: attending church service at First Baptist of Lafayette. Pastor Steve preached yesterday from the Book of Acts, Chapters 2, 4, and 5 about the five principles of Christian stewardship: unity, generosity, necessity, personal integrity, and accountability. As I reflect upon the decisions in our Nation’s capitol today I wish Pastor Steve had given that sermon on the House and Senate floor, and to a certain someone in the Oval office. Folks in DC are sent to be stewards and representatives and I wonder if we were to ask what their guiding principles are, what the response would be. Heck, I’d just like to know what sermon message they heard on Sunday morning. Our resources are not their toys and our lives are not for their manipulation. Do the right thing today Harry Reid. America is watching your stewardship.

Allen West, Michelle Fields and John Phillips discuss Barack & Bibi, The Carl Combover & Single Motherhood

On today’s Next Gen TV, Allen and Michelle reflect back on their week at CPAC and find out what John was up to by his lonesome in Los Angeles. On the CPAC front, our hosts take a look at Rush Limbaugh’s open letter to the next generation, and quibble with Rushbo’s premise that they need to do something important for anyone to pay attention to them.

Plus, is it possible to make a plausible argument that fast food, plastic bags and cigarettes do more damage than single motherhood? An ad campaign targeted at single mothers in New York City sparks a fierce debate. Find out where the Next Gen team stands on it.

And Paul Ryan and Speaker Boehner say there’s a looming debt crisis. But were you aware that there’s a serious barbershop deficit in the Senate? Well there is. To learn about these topics, and more, tune in.

Allen West “Senate legislation doesn’t promote economic growth, debt/deficit reduction – I can’t support it”

by Allen West on Tuesday, January 1, 2013

I wish everyone a very Happy New Year!

As I did my 7-mile run along the DC mall this morning I pondered where we are fiscally as a nation. We continue to have unserious band-aid type solutions to a very serious problem. I reviewed the Senate-passed legislation, and as it stands I will not support it if brought to the House floor.

Raising taxes in order to increase federal government spending is illogical, and disrespectful to all hard-working American families. Sure, I support the “doc fix” and AMT solution, but again the DC way is to make a pot of gumbo and believe that it will taste good to enough people. The American people deserve better.

No one’s taxes need increase and this Senate legislation does not promote economic growth, debt/deficit reduction, or spending discipline, which should be our main goals. The House has sent countless pieces of legislation, good policy, to the Senate which sits idly on Harry Reid’s desk. For the Democrat-led Senate to disregard its most basic Constitutional responsibility and then jam a last-hour cobbled-together 100 pages of nonsense to the House of Representatives is offensive. The future of our children and the promise to our next generation suffers due to extreme incompetence. The liberal progressive rhetoric sounds sweet to the ear but we continue to witness failure. The day is coming when principled pragmatic Constitutional Conservatives will be sought after to restore the American Republic, and we will answer the call.

Congratulations to my colleague, Tim Scott, on his appointment to the Senate. It’s been about 4 decades since there’s been a black GOP member of that chamber – and seems like about that long since it has passed a budget…

Congressman Allen West Needs To Know Where You Stand

Fellow Conservative,

Our country is now in a very dangerous and precarious place. Our very Constitution is being slowly unraveled before our eyes and Barack Obama and the liberals in Congress have plans to fundamentally transform America into something you and I won’t recognize.

Barack Obama’s already brought us nationalized health care and started paving the way toward open borders. His tax policies have discouraged job creators from hiring and if we do nothing – January 1st will bring $494 billion in tax increases.

This election will truly be the most consequential in our lifetime and that’s why I need to know where you stand. Will you take my Summer Conservative Issues Survey?

The only solution to preserve America is to change the balance of power in Washington DC with principled, conservative leaders. We must reinforce our hold on the House of Representatives, we must take back the Senate, and above all, we must take back the White House on November 6th.

Thank you for taking the time to tell me where you stand and for your support in this fight.

Steadfast and Loyal,

LTC(R) Allen B. West
Member of Congress

P.S. This election is the most consequential in our lifetime and I need to know where you stand. Take my issues survey here.
