TRUE THE VOTE SUES ST. LUCIE COUNTY, FLORIDA FOR FAILURE TO PERMIT INSPECTION OF CD-18 ELECTION RECORDS

HOUSTON, TX. True the Vote demands that all records pertaining to the recent 18th Congressional Districtelection and subsequent recounts between Rep. Allen West and Patrick Murphy be reviewed in order to perform a comprehensive third-party audit (True the Vote, Inc. v. Allen West “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me”

How many hard-working Americans have deadlines or “ suspense’s” to meet in order to keep their jobs? I recall while in the Army that the last thing you wanted to do was miss a suspense for an action or report. It was never pleasant to try and explain it, as I learned from watching others get flamed.

However, once again the Obama administration shall miss the suspense for submitting a budget to the House of Representatives. In a letter from OMB Director Jeff  Zients to House Budget Chairman Paul Ryan, it was conveyed yet again the office of the Chief Executive would miss the February 4th suspense (same day, by the way, we will launch our Next Generation Today Show) – a suspense they have met only once in the last 4 years. In the real world, repeatedly missing a suspense means you are fired. In political bizarro world it means you get reelected.

As we approach Inauguration Day I recall this simple maxim, “Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me.” Let’s stand up for our future and the next generation and to paraphrase The Who, “get on our knees and pray we don’t get fooled again.”

Congressman Allen West On His Future

By CHARLES MAHTESIAN | 12/1/12

Florida Rep. and Tea Party favorite Allen West, who recently lost re-election to Democratic challenger Patrick Murphy, appeared on National Public Radio Friday.  Far from despondent, West spoke of Washington politics and his future role with his characteristic assertive, yet calm, tone.

Politico relates the interview’s significant conclusion:

MARTIN: So what’s next for you?

WEST: Look, you know, God closes a door so that he can open up greater doors. I will continue to, you know, stand up and fight for this country. That’s my goal. I have two daughters, 19 and 16, and I want to make sure that they grow up in a great America that provides them all the opportunities that it provided to their mother and father.

MARTIN: Congressman Allen West is completing his term in Congress. He was kind enough to join us from a House recording studio on Capitol Hill here in Washington, D.C.

WEST: And always remember, Abraham Lincoln only served one term in Congress, too.

MARTIN: Duly noted. Congressman West, thank you so much for speaking with us.

Many commenters are interpreting West’s closing remarks as a hint that he may consider running for president some day.  Perhaps, though, he only meant to say that one can still be a pivotal figure, even if they only serve one term in Congress.

Time will tell.

Confused Yet? It Get’s Worse – St Lucie County

WRITTEN BY DAVID DICRESCENZO for The Patriots Press

What the hell happened up in St. Lucie County before and since Election Day?  That is a question that has been fought both in courts of law and in the court of public opinion.  It is also a question that will never be satisfied.

I’m not a lawyer, and I don’t completely understand all of the legal twists and turns; however I was a front row witness to a lot of lies, cheating, and what I believe to be out and out fraud.

Let me be clear; questions about the integrity of the vote, and especially the early vote in St. Lucie County arose from the very beginning.  The Supervisor of Elections, Gertrude Walker, did not respond to those questions; not to the media, and certainly not to the public.

Rallies took place, letters were written, time and energy was spent, and the situation was watched, (mostly thanks to social media) from around the nation and world.  Promises were made and broken by the SOE.

For starters, if there was only one, there were too many cases where votes cast outweighed voter registration; and there were dozens.  In one such case, Precinct 93, it has been widely reported that 900 votes were cast, and there were only 7 people registered.  The percentages of other precincts are equally outrageous, as are the convoluted answers for most of the higher numbers which revolve around the ‘two card’ system used.

Let me try to explain: in St. Lucie County, each voter had two ballot cards to accommodate all of the races, amendments, and questions which were counted as individual votes.  I.E., if there were 100 voters and each was given 2 cards; it would read as up to 200 votes.*  That alone caused a lot of confusion and raised eyebrows.  Mind you,* if any or many didn’t bother to vote on any of the assorted questions and amendments, the number of votes cast could vary commensurately.  For example, if out of the 100 voters 49 didn’t vote on the questions and amendments, the percentage would show as 151% turnout.  Confused yet?  It gets worse.

Allen West Statement “We Should Only Redouble Our Resolve”

For two weeks since Election Day, we have been working to ensure every vote is counted accurately and fairly. We have made progress towards that goal, thanks to the dedication of our supporters and their unrelenting efforts to protect the integrity of the democratic process. While many questions remain unanswered, today I am announcing that I will take no further action to contest the outcome of this election.

While there are certainly still inaccuracies in the results and the actions of the St. Lucie County and Palm Beach County Supervisors of Elections rightly raise questions in my mind and for many voters, after much analysis and yesterday’s recount in St. Lucie County, our legal team does not believe there are enough over-counted, undercounted or fraudulent votes to change the outcome of the election.

While a contest of the election results might have changed the vote totals, we do not have evidence that the outcome would change. Given the extremely high evidentiary hurdles involved in a successful challenge, I will not ask my generous supporters to help fund a drawn-out, expensive legal effort with little chance of success. Therefore, we will not contest the certification or challenge the seating of Congressman-Elect Murphy.

Serving the people in the House of Representatives has been among the highest honors of my life, but this seat does not belong to me, or for that matter, to any individual. It belongs to the people. I want to congratulate my opponent, Patrick Murphy, as the new Congressman from 18th Congressional District. I pray he will serve his constituents with honor and integrity, and put the interests of our nation before his own.

I must thank my wife Angela, and my daughters Aubrey and Austen for their support, patience, understanding and most of all, love. These are three of the toughest women I know. They have sent me off to defend our nation overseas at war and to Capitol Hill to serve our nation in the House of Representatives. They have all handled the challenges of these last few months, and the last many years, with amazing grace. I know they will be my side for whatever is our next chapter.

I must also thank my congressional and campaign staff for their service, and most importantly, I must thank you and our other tremendous supporters who provided their time and money to power our campaign. I am humbled by the dedication and perseverance of our supporters, and their commitment to a free and prosperous America. I cannot thank them enough for all they have done for our campaign, but most importantly, what they have done, and will continue to do for our country. None of us should let the outcome discourage us. We should only redouble our resolve.

Above all, I want to thank God for his blessings, and for blessing me with the opportunity to serve.

Only God knows what is in store for each of us. I have dedicated my life to serving this nation, and the results of this election will not change my purpose. Just as I did in the deserts of Iraq and Afghanistan, just as I did on Capitol Hill, I will continue to fight for our Republic.

Our nation will not overcome our challenges overnight ,and the road ahead for each one of us will not be easy. But this nation would never have become that shining beacon of light if our founders had chosen the easy path 236 years ago. We all must proudly continue their legacy.

God bless you and God bless these United States of America.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Allen B. West

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: CONGRESSMAN ALLEN WEST STATEMENT ON ELECTION RESULTS

Stuart, FL – Today Congressman Allen West released the following statement ending the race for Florida’s 18th District:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tim Edson Campaign Mgr for Allen West Released the Following Statement

JUDGE THWARTS MURPHY’S ATTEMPTS

TO SUPPRESS VOTE IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Stuart, FL – West for Congress campaign manager Tim Edson released the following statement regarding the 19th Circuit Court’s ruling today against Patrick Murphy’s attempt to halt the retabulation of early votes:

“We are pleased the judge did not concede to Murphy’s desperate demands to halt the retabulation of early votes already underway in St. Lucie County. Clearly, if the canvassing board has already agreed there were discrepancies and under- or over-counted ballots, it would make no sense to halt the retabulation. From the start, Murphy’s motion was procedurally and substantively lacking.

Once again, all we have ever asked for is a fair and accurate count of the votes to preserve the integrity of the voting process for the citizens of District 18. Integrity is something Patrick Murphy and his band of lawyers seem to have in short supply, as evidenced by their continued attempts to prevent votes from being counted.”

Patriots Join Forces to Stand Up For The Man Who Won’t Concede to Corruption – Allen West

UNEDITED REPORT GIVEN TO BREITBART.COM

Allen West Republic, who is NOT an “Official” part of the “Allen West for Congress” campaign, has and is coordinating it’s efforts with the citizens of South Florida and the entire nation in an effort to insure that EVERY VOTE in St. Lucie County is properly counted.

Spokesperson for the group, John Swetland said: “We do not understand how Patrick Murphy, a Certified Public Accountant, would not want to see the same outcome: A fair election, where the man with the most votes wins, NOT the man who was fortunate enough to have the mistakes of the SOE go his way”.

Allen West Republic has successfully utilized the people within it’s Facebook Group and Fan pages to gather and coordinate people from the FL-18 district area and surrounding areas. Local mobilization was led by a dynamic husband/wife team of Gary & Melinda Galiano, along with others who have been steadfast to Congressman West’s efforts for over 2 years. People have come en-mass, either showing up to demonstrate, bring food, or witness the recounts. Mark Bonner, creator of the Breitbart-One Voice Silenced, Millions Awakened” and their 41K members were vital to sharing our message and gathering some of their members who live in the St Lucie area and across south Florida.

Tanya Grimsley, the backbone of the groups social networking efforts, recapped yesterdays events: “The decision was made by the court to stop Allen West from preempting the Board. Judge Vaughn did not feel that with the evidence presented by West that he could intervene and force a recount. So, Murphy’s attorney, SOE’s attorney and the attorney for the Canvassing board made their main point that the Judge would supersede the law if the judge ordered Board to do a recount and they won. The Canvassing Board met at 4 PM yesterday and after a very long wait and delay and letting the people actually speak they then decided on their own 2-1 vote to do the recount. NOW Murphy’s attorneys want an injunction to stop the recount. ASKING that same judge to intervene.”

Statement from the Official West Campaign:

PATRICK MURPHY ATTEMPTS TO SUPPRESS VOTE IN ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Stuart, FL – West for Congress campaign manager Tim Edson released the following statement regarding Patrick Murphy’s lawyers’ attempt to get the 19th Circuit Court Judge to disallow the retabulation of early votes agreed to by the St. Lucie County Canvassing Board:

“In a last-ditch effort to suppress the vote, Murphy’s lawyers submitted sloppy and incomplete papers to the Court this morning to try to strong-arm the judge into preventing today’s retabulation already underway. The Murphy team’s motion is procedural and substantively lacking. With every action attempted, Murphy demonstrates a complete lack of respect and utter disregard for the voters of St. Lucie County.

Murphy’s efforts bring to mind the dark times in our nation’s history when politicians tried to manipulate the law to suppress the votes, and we are appalled by Murphy’s apparent contempt for the voting rights of citizens to have their ballots accurately and fairly tabulated.

Murphy knows there are votes that have not been counted, but he’s taking legal action to ensure the results are certified anyway. Perhaps the Justice Department should investigate Murphy’s attempt to steal himself a seat in Congress at the expense of the voters in St. Lucie County.”

Swetland when asked about the missing ballots had this to say: “Well we do not know WHY they went missing, we can only assume. Last night they found 304 more missing ballots…that is in addition to all the other errors throughout the week, but of that I do not have an accurate number that I’d be comfortable quoting.”
