Former Congressman and Lt. Colonel Allen B. West Partners With Liberty Alliance To
Launch Personal Website

www.allenbwest.com expands reach of principled, conservative leader

PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL, OCTOBER 21, 2014 – Building on the phenomenal growth of his social media presence, Colonel Allen B. West has launched his own personal website in partnership with Liberty Alliance. Allenbwest.com will help expand the reach of his conservative message, provide a rich resource of facts and perspective, and serve as a hub for the growing number of endeavors in which West is involved including an upcoming book, The Allen West FoundationThe Allen West Guardian Fund, speaking engagements and his media presence on Fox NewsWashington Times Communities and other outlets.

Since leaving office, West’s influence has expanded at an almost unheard of rate, with his Facebook followers alone growing from 189,000 in January 2013 to over 731,000 today. Clearly his unapologetic, courageous voice is resonating across the nation, and his website will give even greater exposure to his principled stance on a broad variety of issues facing our nation.

“To return our nation to its constitutional principles, to change the direction our nation is heading and restore our American exceptionalism, we must ensure our conservative voices are not attacked and gagged by the liberal media,” said Colonel West, “With this website we are proud to join those who will not be silenced.”

West’s site is part of the Liberty Alliance, a network of more than 40 web sites dedicated to advancing Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The company’s members and strategic partners leverage the power of new media to promote traditional values and generate more than 1,000,000 page views each day.

According to Jared Vallorani, Chief Information Officer of Liberty Allliance, “We are honored to have Colonel Allen West partner with us. Colonel West stands as a beacon of hope, freedom, and courage. I can’t think of anyone who more closely represents our values and goals here at Liberty Alliance.”

About Allen B. West

During his decorated 22-year career in the United States Army, Lieutenant Colonel West served in several combat zones: in Operation Desert Storm, in Operation Iraqi Freedom, where he was a Battalion Commander in the Army’s 4th Infantry Division, and later in Afghanistan where he served as a civilian military adviser.

In November of 2010, Congressman West became the first black Republican from Florida since Reconstruction to be elected to the United States Congress.

Allen West campaign kickoff: ‘I am Spartacus’

U.S. Rep. Allen West unveiled his first TV ad Saturday at the official South Florida kickoff of his re-election campaign in Palm Beach Gardens.

With qualifying behind him, West’s team planned a busy day to start its official campaign charge.

Beginning his day with about 350 members of the Martin County Republican Executive Committee, West enjoyed BBQ and a warm welcome before traveling south to Palm Beach Gardens.

The congressman arrived at the Borland Center to a crowd of about 400 that had been revved up by the unveiling of his soon-to-be-released ad, which included the catchphrase, “I’m just getting started,” following, “some say that I push too hard, that I ask too much.”

The speech was more comprehensive and scripted than recent talks, encompassing a wider spectrum of issues and summarizing his position on the size of government, the tax code, affordable health care, education, energy and the economy, among other topics.

Proud of “ruffling feathers,” West said, “While others are in D.C. trying to make friends, I kinda like to make waves,” adding, “If the mainstream media is attacking you, you’re doing something right.”

Responding to the president’s assessment that the public sector is doing fine, West said, “I don’t know what planet the president is occupying, but it is not the United States of America.”

Rep Allen West for Congress SITREP – June 7, 2012

Dear Friend,

With summer upon us, it is starting to get hot and humid outside.  The only thing more stifling than the heat and humidity is the dismal economic news resulting from President Obama’s failed policies.

The May unemployment rate of 8.2% is just the tip of the iceberg threatening to take down this great ship called the United States of America. Unfortunately, there’s much more:

  • The share of Americans who’ve been out of work a long time — now at 42% of the unemployed — is the highest since the Great Depression (source: Labor Department).
  • The proportion of the civilian working-age population actually working, at 58%, is the smallest since the Carter era (Labor Department).
  • The rate of new business startups — the engine of job growth — has plunged to an all-time low of 7.87% of all businesses (Census Bureau).
  • 3 in 10 young adults can’t find jobs and live with their parents, the highest since the 1950s (Pew Research).
  • 54% of bachelor’s degree-holders under the age of 25 are jobless or underemployed, the highest share in decades (Northeastern University).
  • Black teen unemployment, now at 37%, is near Depression-era highs (Labor Department).
  • Almost 1 in 6 Americans are now poor — the highest ratio in 30 years — and the total number of poor, at 49.1 million, is the largest on record (Census).
  • Total government dependency — defined as the share of Americans receiving one or more federal benefit payments — is now at 47%, the highest ever (Hoover).
  • Federal spending, now at 23.4% of GDP, is the highest since WWII (CBO).

But liberals simply cannot handle the truth and are incapable of a fact-based discussion of the issues.  Instead they continue to try to shift the discussion to divide Americans along economic, racial and gender lines.

To date, it seems their tactic is to attempt to disrupt our events and silence our message. There’s no doubt the paid left-wing mobs who led the failed recall of Governor Scott Walker will turn their attention to our campaign. But rest assured, we will not be silenced.

Allen West for Congress SITREP – April 27, 2012

When I was in the Army, I submitted a Situation Report, or SITREP, to my commanding officer each week.  Since I work for you, now that our campaign is heating up the West for Congress SITREP will keep you apprised of the progress of the campaign, important news and events, and opportunities to get involved.

Dear Friend,

It’s hard to believe, but Election Day is less than 200 days away!  In November 2010, thanks to your efforts and the efforts of millions of our fellow Americans, we began to change course.

While the Republican House has blocked the much of the extreme Obama agenda and taken some small but important steps to restore our economy and return our nation to sound fiscal footing, a great amount of work remains to ensure our nation remains exceptional.

It is said every year, but the 2012 election is truly the most important in a generation!

Our economy continues to fail millions of Americans.  Despite passing his near-trillion dollar stimulus that we were told would keep unemployment below 8 percent, unemployment remains far above the 8 percent and recent decrease can be attributed as much to Americans simply giving up their search for work than anything else.   Long-term joblessness remains at record highs.  Since Inauguration Day 2009, we’ve seen a 41 percent increase in food stamp rolls and the poverty rate has increased by 16 percent!

Family budgets are being pinched and small businesses threatened by President Obama’s war on energy.  On Sunday the national average for a gallon of regular unleaded was $3.89, more than double the $1.84 per gallon Americans paid when Obama took office. And the only solution the President offers is more spending, more subsidies and more government all paid for with our tax dollars, or those borrowed from China and our children and grandchildren.

The choice before us on November 6 is about our future and the future of our children and grandchildren.  Do we want to pass down a nation of individual freedom and unlimited economic opportunity or continue the failed policies of the past three years and leave a future of dependency and decline?

You know where I stand on these questions, and I trust you will stand with me again.
As you probably know, as a result of redistricting, we will be running in Florida’s new 18th District.

While I look forward to the opportunity to represent the people of Martin and St. Lucie Counties, and those of part of Palm Beach County, I will miss the opportunity to represent many more of you in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.

Please know representing you has been among the highest honors of my life and I will continue to be your voice in Washington.  I hope you will continue to stand with me.

Please join our efforts and help spread the word at fairs, festivals, parades and other events.  Regardless of where you live, there is a way you can be involved.  Please email Sue Snowden at Sue@AllenWestforCongress.com to get involved.
