Allen West Weekly Wrap Up – Topic in this installment of Next Generation is a simple word – integritas.

Integrity Matters In Democracy So why do we tolerate an utter lack of it?

The topic for this week’s installment of the Next Generation weekly update is a simple word – integritas.

Yes, that Latin word means exactly what you think it means – integrity – and I pulled down this explanation of integrity from Wikipedia:

Integrity is a concept of consistency of actions, values, methods, measures, principles, expectations and outcomes. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one’s actions. Integrity can be regarded as the opposite of hypocrisy, in that integrity regards internal consistency as a virtue, and suggests that parties holding apparently conflicting values should account for the discrepancy or alter their beliefs.

… Integrity is the inner sense of “wholeness” deriving from qualities such as honesty and consistency of character. As such, one may judge that others “have integrity” to the extent that they act according to the values, beliefs and principles they claim to hold.

Integrity was one of the lessons I learned from my Mom and Dad, and the U.S. Army reinforced that lesson. Once one loses a sense of integrity, it is quite hard, almost impossible, to regain that respect of character and honor. I teach my daughters the basic lesson that character means doing what is right when no one is watching. That is how one builds a reputation of impeccable character.

As my own military career progressed, I expressed to junior officers the importance of integrity as a foundation of success in a leader and a unit. One comment that officers always wanted to see on their evaluation reports was “possesses integrity beyond reproach.” Not seeing that comment would be a downer.

However, as we ponder our problem in America, I see a lack of integrity as a cultural norm that is a major contributing factor.

A disturbing lack of electoral integrity

Consider Melowese Richardson, the Hamilton County (Cincinnati, Ohio) poll worker of 25 years who has been accused of voter fraud. She admitted voting by absentee ballot and at a precinct. Her response: “I, after registering thousands of people, certainly wanted my vote to count. So I voted; I voted at the poll.”

The greater issue is that Richardson not only voted twice herself, she also did so for her granddaughter, India. But that was not the end. Richardson also cast absentee ballots for Montez Richardson, Joseph Jones and Markus Barron.

When asked if she would fight these charges, Richardson said, “Absolutely, I’ll fight it for Mr. Obama and for Mr. Obama’s right to sit as president of the United States.”

Amazing! Richardson’s individual lack of integrity resulted in a lack of integrity in our electoral process. More disturbing is the complete lack of a sense of wrongdoing. Basically for Richardson, the end justified the means.

And where is the integrity in our attorney general to investigate this blatant case of voter fraud? Perhaps his lack of integrity will result in the same outcome as with the 2008 case where New Black Panthers intimidated voters by standing watch outside polls in Philadelphia with clubs. They were not punished.

See, this lack of integrity resulting in voter fraud is a prime example of voter suppression. How many presidential votes for Mitt Romney were canceled last fall by such behavior? How many Americans who possess integrity beyond reproach saw their votes rendered meaningless in 2012?

Caught on Tape Obama Fieldworks Team Funneling Money Against Allen West

©2012 American Phoeniix Foundation EXCLUSIVEhttp://clashdaily.com/ The progressive left has made no secret of their hatred for Congressman Allen West. It will be months until we fully understand the national coordination and vast resources that were brought to Florida in an attempt to defeat him at all costs. One group that shifted resources to his district is Fieldworks.

Fieldworks is a progressive campaign organization that has secured many of ACORN’s old contracts. ACORN went bankrupt after Hannah Giles’s child prostitution expose.

Most notably Fieldworks has extensive Voter Registration and “Get Out The Vote” contracts with almost every major progressive left organization in America.

Here is an exclusive excerpt of raw footage from American Phoenix Foundation’s investigation into some of Fieldworks activities across the country. A full investigation is forthcoming.

Tim Scott, Jennifer Carroll and Allen West lead Romney’s Black Leadership Council

posted by scottpowers on September, 5 2012 10:24 AM

Florida Lt. Gov. Jennifer Carroll and U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Plantation, are among three national chairs of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney’s newly-named “Black Leadership Council.”

“I am proud to have the endorsements of so many leaders in the black community,” Romney stated in a release issued by his campaign. “They know all too well that the economic downturn that has continued to hammer our country has been even more devastating for black Americans. Together, we will work to end that downturn, and we will not rest until all Americans have the jobs they need, the quality education they are owed, and the opportunities they deserve.”

The third chair of the 21-member panel is U.S. Rep. Tim Scott, R-S.C. The rest of the members are from out of Florida, with several from Ohio.

In the release, West called Obama “a disappointment.”

Rep Allen West’s Statement on President Obama’s Affront to the American Military

(WASHINGTON)— Congressman Allen West (R-FL) released this statement today in response to the lawsuit Obama for America and the Democratic National Committee filed against the Attorney General and Secretary of State of Ohio in reference to giving the military three extra days of early, in-person voting:

“As a retired Army officer, I am appalled at the Obama campaign’s actions to bring a lawsuit against the State of Ohio for the early voting privileges it extends to our men and women serving in uniform. To have the Commander in Chief make our United States servicemen and women the target of a political attack to benefit his reelection actions is reprehensible.  Unfortunately for all Americans, this President has never served in the military, so he has no comprehension of the lives our troops lead.  Military voters deserve special flexibility as they are often subject to restrictions, uncertainties, and risks that often make it more difficult for them to vote.

The voting privilege extended to these members of the armed services who represent the best among us should not be attacked by a President who is more concerned about his reelection than sequestration.

As a 22-year combat veteran, for this President to unleash his campaign cronies against our military is unconscionable.  How dare this President compare the service, sacrifice, and commitment of those who guard our liberties to everyone else?  Barack Obama is undeserving of the title Commander-in-Chief.

I pledge my full support to veterans organizations such as the National Guard Association of the United States, Association of the U.S. Army, Association of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps League, Military Officers Association of America, the Reserve Officers Association, the Association of Uniformed Services,  as well as others who are taking this battle head on. This lawsuit is an affront to our men and women in uniform.”

Stacy Swimp examines Rep Allen West’s “Dispelling the Myths of Black Conservatism” New Pittsburgh Courier

New Pittsburgh Courier

Last month, Congressmen Allen West hosted a historic Black Conservative Forum in order to “discuss how to articulate and take the message of black conservatism back to our communities”, per the retired Army Colonel.

He referenced conservative principles such as limited government, fiscal responsibility, sovereignty, equality of opportunity, achievement, the free market system, values, education, family, and security.

“The conservative voice in the Black community remains mostly unacknowledged by politicians and the public alike,” West said. “While the conservative Black voice has always existed, it is more important than ever that it be recognized and encouraged.”

Among those on the multi ethnic, bi-partisan panel, were Congressman Tim Scott, R-S.C.; Congressman Emanuel Cleaver (chairman, Congressional Black Caucus, D-Mo.); Rev. Cleon Bryant (pastor, LA and founder of “Runaway Slave”); KCarl Smith (Frederick Douglass Republicans); Congressman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio; and numerous other national leaders. The panel was moderated by Star Parker, founder and president of C.U.R.E., the Center for Urban Renewal and Education and nationally syndicated columnist.

Congressman Tim Scott, speaking of the perception that all Blacks are liberals, stated: “I have seen both sides. I successfully flunked out of high school in the ninth grade—with their (big government) help. Then my mother told me: Boy, I brought you into this world, I can take you out.” Scott continued: “Simple formula: Play by the rules. We must realize that something for nothing is a chain around your wrist. We have to succeed because we have been given the right to succeed! That is our heritage as Americans.”

Star Parker raised the issue of getting school choice into urban communities: KCarl Smith responded: “Frederick Douglass went through the problem of school choice. They tried to force him to send his daughter to an inferior school. The parent should be able to choose. This is worse than slavery! Douglass said, in 1848, ‘Face it, fight it, fix it!’ He put pressure on until the least were elevated and the most vulnerable were valued.”
