Well, the results are in and so it’s time for a little assessment.

Let’s start with New York. Good luck, you just voted in a Marxist/socialist, and you thought David Dinkins was bad? I know there are some very eclectic folks in New York City but what were the free market capitalists thinking?

Next door in New Jersey, everyone pretty much saw this woodshed coming for Governor Christie.

How is it that the Conservative movement continues to lose the messaging war on public policy “fairness”? I gave a speech last night in Potomac where I addressed this specific point.

When we look at this question in terms of economic, healthcare and education policy, the Conservative alternative clearly produces results which are, by any measure, “fair”. When Reagan cut the top marginal tax rate from 70% to 28%, not only did tax revenue increase, but the wealthiest Americans paid a greater percentage of total tax revenue, not less. What is “unfair” about this?

Healthcare public policy has treated the poorest among us in a particularly brutal way. Here are the hard facts: according to a landmark University of Virginia study, a patient using Medicaid is nearly twice as likely to die after surgery than a patient with private insurance. Even worse, a patient with Medicaid is 13% more likely to die after surgery than a patient with NO INSURANCE AT ALL. How is this “fair”? The Conservative alternative simply gives a means tested benefit to struggling Americans to buy the exact same insurance plans wealthy Americans have access to.

Finally, it is the Conservative movement that is passionately fighting for school choice. According to Jason Riley of the WSJ, the nation has 20,000 high schools and, shockingly, only 2,000 are responsible for half of our dropouts. If you happen to be Black, you have a 50% chance of sending your child to one of these schools. This is a moral tragedy as these children have had their American Dream shamefully wiped out. We are the ones fighting for their shot at a better tomorrow, we are the ones fighting for fairness and equal opportunity for everyone.

Stop ceding the moral high-ground to cheap talking points. Take back the argument using the one weapon that the organized left has no defense against, the facts.   – Dan Bongino

Allen West, Michelle Fields and John Phillips discuss Barack & Bibi, The Carl Combover & Single Motherhood

NGTV7

On today’s Next Gen TV, Allen and Michelle reflect back on their week at CPAC and find out what John was up to by his lonesome in Los Angeles. On the CPAC front, our hosts take a look at Rush Limbaugh’s open letter to the next generation, and quibble with Rushbo’s premise that they need to do something important for anyone to pay attention to them.

Plus, is it possible to make a plausible argument that fast food, plastic bags and cigarettes do more damage than single motherhood? An ad campaign targeted at single mothers in New York City sparks a fierce debate. Find out where the Next Gen team stands on it.

And Paul Ryan and Speaker Boehner say there’s a looming debt crisis. But were you aware that there’s a serious barbershop deficit in the Senate? Well there is. To learn about these topics, and more, tune in.

Congressman Allen West “To The People of New Jersey, NYC and Those Affected by Hurricane Sandy”

“As the sun rises this morning Angela and I send out our thoughts and prayers to the people of New Jersey and New York City who have been severely affected by Hurricane Sandy.”

“Many here in South Florida have relatives and connections to the areas worse hit by the storm, to include my wife Angela. We lift you all up in this time that God will provide you the comfort and perseverance to weather this storm.”

“To my Congressional colleagues in the hardest hit areas, you have my utmost support in any way I can provide assistance. Just as a new day began, so shall an even better sun rise upon your restored lives and communities…America is here for you.”

Rep Allen West “Really, Mr President” 2 Tickets to meet Pres. Obama & Clinton??

Dear Friend,

Last week, it was hobnobbing with Sarah Jessica Parker. Then yesterday comes this email from President Obama’s campaign gushing about what it be would like to “be a fly on the wall” at his fundraising event with President Clinton.

They described it as “almost ridiculously cool.” I describe it as embarrassing and out of touch.

Really, Mr. President? With record high unemployment and spending through the roof, you’re focused on parties with Hollywood celebrities and how cool it is to hobnob with you.

The American people are tired of celebrity ‘leadership’. We’re focused on solutions to get people back to work, and grow the economy so that people can stay in their homes, save for education and retirement, and correct the dangerous debt problem threatening our nation. That’s why so many Americans are standing with my campaign.

Steadfast and loyal,
LTC(R) Allen B. West
Member of Congress

Allen–

Meeting the President of the United States is an incredible thing.

Meeting two presidents at the same time? Now, that’s almost ridiculously cool.

If you pitch in $3 or whatever you can today, you’ll be automatically entered to join President Obama and former President Clinton in New York City on June 4th — airfare and hotel taken care of.

These two presidents know better than anyone in the world that grassroots supporters are how you win elections.

That’s why President Obama always wants to be able to meet you at events like this, and why President Clinton jumped at the chance.

This promises to be one amazing evening. Imagine how great it would be to be a fly on the wall when Presidents Obama and Clinton get together. Now imagine getting to be part of the conversation.

Enter today and you could win two tickets to New York to be there with them:

Seriously, good luck.

Congressman (LTC) Allen West at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend

The following talk by Colonel Allen West was delivered at David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend in West Palm Beach, Florida (Nov. 17-20, 2011). Introductory remarks were given by David Horowitz.

Allen West: Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you so much, David.

And it’s amazing when the introduction is actually longer than the amount of time allotted to you that you’re supposed to speak.

(Laughter)

So we’ll see what we can do with that.

But first of all, David, thanks so much for having me here.  And once again, I’d like to introduce everyone — if you have not met my wife, Dr. Angela West; and my youngest daughter, Austen West.

(Applause)

And I know that we have a couple of my colleagues here — Congressman Royce from California and Congressman Turner from New York.  So thank you.

(Applause)

And there are many dear friends that are here.

I just want to take maybe 10 to 15 minutes to talk to you about what I think the challenges are for us going forward.  We are truly in a battle for the future and the legacy of the United States of America.  And that battle is going to happen in less than one year.  And I’m really honored that David Horowitz and his Freedom Center continues to be on the frontline to talk about those issues that we all need to be educated on, and we all need to make sure that other people are educated on.  And we cannot back down from this.  Because what will we say to our children and grandchildren if we fail in this mission?

You know, I want to welcome each and every one of you to the district that I represent — United States Congressional District 22, right here, in Florida.

(Applause)

Now, I want to ask you a simple question, and I think it’s the question that is really the seminal question that we need to understand as we go forward for the next year — what is American exceptionalism?  Because I will tell you what American exceptionalism is to me — the fact that 50 years ago, when I was born, in 1961, in the inner city of Atlanta, Georgia, there would be no way possible that I would be standing here speaking in The Breakers.  The fact that now I can stand here as the representative for this great Palm Beach Island — a place that, I guarantee you, I would not have been able to come to 50 years ago — is a testimony to what makes America the greatest nation that the world has ever known.  And that is what we cannot forget.

(Applause)

However, the ideological chasm that exists in America today, with people that believe that there are such things as class or caste — they don’t understand that sense of American exceptionalism.  They don’t understand the fact that where you are born in America, or where you come from, has nothing to do with where you end up, or your station later on in life.  That is what we must fight for in our country.

Mindless Marxist Minions by Michael Oberndorf, RPA

The Democrat left’s mindless, moronic, Marxist minions were marching in Manhattan this weekend. They don’t seem to realize that the Wall Street “fat cats” corporate CEOs they have hated and vilified for oh-so-many years, are, along with foreign fat cats, fascist dictators, drug cartels, and oil sheiks, the major source of Big Donations (read, boat-loads of laundered cash) for their Democrat masters, in general, and their Lord and Messiah, Obama-Soetoro, in particular. So, there they were, chanting the same old, worn out leftist slogans, harassing the cops, alienating themselves from the working public, and generally making pathetic fools of themselves. Some things never change.

Speaking of pathetic fools, Barack (Barry) Hussein Obama-Soetoro, he of the crudely forged birth certificates and stolen social security number, hit some new heights in his efforts to become the biggest public liar in history. It has been officially determined by a non-profit, non-partisan lie detecting NGO, that his speeches about “his” jobs bill did not contain a single word that was true. Historic and unprecedented, indeed! But, “the only grown-up in the room” apparently is out to outdo himself, pretending to be a working-class, street-wise American black person, who did not spend his life living like a privileged white boy.

“I listen to some of y’all,” he lied to the Congressional Black Caucus, exhorting genuine black people to “put on their marchin’ shoes,” presumably so they, too, can get “all wee-weed up” and go out and make fools of themselves in public, just like The Messiah and the white folks in New York. Al Sharpton has yet to weigh in…film at 11.

“Interestingly, genuine Black Person, and businessman-patriot par excellance, Herman Cain, is moving up in the esteem of conservative voters. While I don’t see eye-to-eye with Herman on every issue, I could easily vote for him, something I cannot say for Ministry of Propaganda favorites Rick Perry and Mitt Romney. I could especially do this if, when the time comes, he would choose retired Lt. Colonel Allen West, now a Republican congressman from Florida as his running mate.”
