The Myth of Liberal Tolerance: Will This Make the Nightly News? I Doubt It

The Myth of Liberal Tolerance

If there’s one thing liberals pride themselves on it’s the myth that they’re “tolerant” of others. But what liberals mean by the word is not what the word means, nor is it what they practice.

The word “tolerate” means to put up with, to allow to exist. But liberals don’t mean it that way. They don’t preach tolerance, they preach conformity. Look up what these bastions of tolerance have said about the Tea Party. Look what they say about Allen West. Michele Bachmann, Sarah Palin, Clarence Thomas or anyone who dare creep outside the left-wing’s assigned box for them.

See, many liberals are, in reality, are the most intolerant human beings you’ll ever come across. They preach a “live and let live” philosophy, but relentlessly attack anyone with whom they disagree.

They can also be the most bigoted people you’ll ever meet. By bigoted I mean racist.

The most famous examples of this have been directed at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. In 1994, political commentator Julianne Malveaux said on PBS that she wished Justice Thomas’ wife feeds him lots of eggs and butter and he dies early like many black men do, of heart disease,” continuing, “Well, that’s how I feel. He is an absolutely reprehensible person.” And in 1996, Emerge magazine ran a cover drawing of Justice Thomas dressed as a lawn jockey with the headline “Uncle Thomas: Lawn Jockey for The Far Right.

What was the unforgivable sin Justice Thomas committed to warrant such a disgusting attacks? He thought differently than the accepted liberal orthodoxy. That orthodoxy is where the true bigotry lies in liberalism.

At its worst, liberalism sees skin color, gender or sexual orientation and assigns a belief system, their belief system, on those people.

Rep Allen West backs Bachmann stating “that there needs to be deep security checks in govt”

CLICK HERE TO WATCH THE VIDEO RECORDED AT ALLEN WEST’S TOWNHALL: SHARKTANK.NET

by Javier Manjarres via Shark Tank.net

At one his monthly townhall meetings in Broward County, Florida, Congressman Allen West was asked about the ‘Muslim Infiltration’ of the U.S. Government, an issue that has been in the news of late, after Congresswoman Michele Bachmann questioned Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s aide, Huma Abedin of her possible associations with the Muslim Brotherhood.

Bachmann did not accuse Abedin of being part of the Muslim Brotherhood, only her immediate family’s direct associations with the terrorist organization.

Frontpage’s Robert Spencer adds this-

And in Abedin’s case, there are ample reasons for raising these questions. Her father, Syed Z. Abedin, was a professor in Saudi Arabia who founded the Institute for Muslim Minority Affairs, an organization supported by the Muslim World League, a Brotherhood organization. Her mother, Saleha Mahmoud Abedin, is a member of the Muslim Sisterhood, the Brotherhood’s adjunct organization for women. The Brotherhood itself is in its own words, according to a captured internal document, dedicated to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house.”-Robert Spencer (SourceBachmann/Abedin)

Congressman Allen West confirmed Bachmann’s suspicions of infiltration, actually, West has been saying it for a long time, and the Democrats have been quick to call him an extremist for doing so.

West states that he has not read Bachmann’s letter, but makes her case that there needs to be deep security checks in government, and that there is indeed a sinister effort by Islamists to integrate themselves into the U.S. Government.

Another classic slap-down by the first-term Congressman Allen West

by Jerry McConnell

This past week, the crotchety Majority Leader, Senator Harry “Extreme” Reid, (Lib-Dem NV); we are treated to another classic slap-down by a first-termer Congressman putting the irascible and testy Senator back on his heels.

In a report by Dustin Stockton – Western PAC on the same Saturday, January 21, 2012, the rookie Congressman, Allen West, (R-FL) responded to Senator Reid’s typical and boring remarks blaming the Tea Party and in particular, the recently-elected representatives of being “extremists” and “obstructionists on steroids.”

Reid’s personal lexicon of chastising words appears to be extremely pint-sized and limited to mostly just two words, ‘extreme’ and ‘draconian’ a sort of ‘cover all situations’ library.  His recent use came while criticizing the Republicans and Tea Party participants for, as Dustin Stockton details, “attacking us for simply saying ‘no’ to endless government spending.

As Stockton points out, however, “Luckily, we have leaders like the freshman Congressman, Rep. Allen West, who responded to Reid this week, saying “Reid’s attack shows how threatened he is by our (Tea Party) movement, and that he will stop at nothing to continue his party’s reckless spending habits.

“This past Sunday on Meet The Press, we saw Senator Harry Reid talk about people being obstructionists. We saw him blame the Tea Party, we saw him blame Senate Republicans. He’s even blamed House Freshmen on the Republican side.

“But what Harry Reid does not understand simply, the constitutional conservative grassroots movement called the Tea Party stands for this, they stand for fiscal responsibility, they stand for fiscal sanity. And the American people have to balance budgets in their homes. Our small business owners have to balance budgets to run their businesses. So obviously what Harry Reid calls obstructionism as I look at it, he stands for fiscal irresponsibility. He stands for fiscal insanity!”

Dustin Stockton continued, “Like Rep. West, we are proud to be considered “obstructionists” by those who seek to bankrupt our nation. But make no mistake: Harry Reid won’t be satisfied with just attacking us in the media.”

Reid’s personal venom extends to any measures, no matter how unprofessional or otherwise that will stop the reelection of the Tea Party first year Congressmen who put our country’s needs first and foremost on their agendas.

As my readers have noticed that in the past I have not endorsed any of the candidates; I kept looking for a strong conservative but the only one that had appeared was Michele Bachmann who did not wage a favorable campaign and dropped out.

Newt Gingrich’s positions on the illegal immigration issue have been, to say the least, unclear most of the time.  But his aggressive stance when threatened with possible “dirty” politics by CNN’s John King showed me that here was a man that will stand toe to toe with Barack Obama and when the going gets tough in a debate over fiscal responsibilities and other constitutional obligations, he will land the knockout punch without delay and retire the usurper in the White House.

PATRIOT ALERT…THIS IS A LETTER WE DRAFTED TO GET IN FRONT OF KEY DECISION MAKERS TOMORROW. THERE ARE TWO GATHERINGS OF HIGHLY INFLUENCIAL CONSERVATIVE POWER PLAYERS THIS WEEKEND. ONE GATHERING IN TEXAS, ONE IN SOUTH CAROLINA.

WE SEEK TO GET THIS LETTER CIRCULATING AT THESE TWO CRITICAL MEETINGS TOMORROW. BOTH GATHERINGS HAVE THE PURPOSE OF MAKING ONE, LAST DITCH EFFORT, TO PUT FORTH A CONSERVATIVE ALTERNATIVE, TO MITT ROMNEY, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY, OFFER UP A GOP CONSERVATIVE OPTION, SURE TO DEFEAT BARACK OBAMA. WE THINK WE HAVE THE “ONE IDEA.” IF YOU BELIEVE IN THIS “ONE IDEA” AS PASSIONATELY AS WE DO USE ALL YOUR CREATIVE ENERGY, AND CONTACTS TO GET THIS LETTER OUT TO TEA PARTY LEADERS, AND OTHERS, THAT MIGHT PRESENT THIS IDEAL TO THE MOVERS, AND SHAKERS, IN THE ROOMS TOMORROW. THIS IS TRULY A GRASSROOTS, ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE INEVITABLE PARIDIGM, NOW ON A FAST TRACK TO BEING INEVITIABLE.

NO ONE GAVE WASHINGTON’S ARMY A CHANCE ON THAT FRIGID NIGHT, WHEN HIS RAGTAG ARMY CROSSED THE CHILLY POTOMAC. LOOK WHAT THEY ACCOMPLISHED. THEY GAVE BIRTH TO THE LAND OF THE FREE, AND HOME OF THE BRAVE. WE ARE THEIR DESCENDANTS, AND THEIR PATRIOT BLOOD COARSE’S THROUGH OUR VEINS.

FREEDOM HAS BEEN FREE TO US. NOT IT’S TIME FOR US TO GET SKIN IN THE GAME…GIVE IT YOUR ALL, AND LEAVE THE REST TO GOD. “WITH A STRONG RELIANCE ON HIM.”

LETTER BELOW…….

Ladies and Gentlemen

Our Republic is on the brink. We trust you recognize this unfortunate fact to be true. This gathering in Texas on this day resonates like the meetings in Tun Tavern in Philadelphia during our nations founding. If you will allow us an opportunity to reach out in a Patriotic flag-wave, our group “Restoring America’s Greatness” has an idea which we believe has merit, but indeed needs honing. I will spell it out here in simple terms. The names that we have chosen to slot in particular positions would most definitely need to be altered, as this premise is simply from a meeting of God-Fearing, America Loving folks. “THESE are the times that try men’s souls…” Now is the time to think outside the political box.

We fear 4 more years under the Obama Administration will indeed put our Republic over the brink. We also fear that a Romney Administration, while better than the other option, will not turn this ship called America around in a way that would be exemplary to the Conservative cause. Many like-minded Conservative Patriots gather for civil debate on Social Networks on who our choice should be for the GOP nominee for POTUS. Generally like-minded thinkers certainly have different opinions as to who we believe should be our nominee. Because of this, we have come to the following conclusion and following thought of interest:

Why does a candidate have to run for this most important job as a solo act?? In this critical time, would it not be in the best interest of the Republic and of the GOP party to have not only a POTUS nominee, But a nominee who already has a cabinet that he/she could introduce to the voting public? Why should a Rick Santorum, a Newt Gingrich , Rick Perry or any Conservative candidate lose the nomination only because they are out spent?? Why can’t a candidate announce before the Convention who his VP is, his Secretary of State, Secretary of Defense and so on?? Wouldn’t a concerned citizenry be invigorated to support, donate, promote and enlighten other Americans if they were given an entire Administrative Cabinet to consider??

We obviously understand that this is easier on paper when it is in the real political arena, but here is our point: If, say, Newt Gingrich (simply as an example, our group does not wholly support any 1 candidate, hence our concern) would come out an announce that he is now running with (all examples obviously) Rick Santorum as his VP, John Bolton as his Sec of State, Allen West as Sec of Defense, Michele Bachmann as Attorney general etc etc etc…would that not be a unique, meshing, unheard of opportunity to unite a People??

Politicians would have to put COUNTRY before power, THE PEOPLE before ego. But, we would indeed find our true patriots in government running a campaign in such a unique yet dignified way. Is there a more important time in this great nations history to attempt such an uncommon approach to restoring America back from where she was born??

We ask that you consider this approach while gathering in Texas. “Restoring America’s Greatness” supports this endeavor, understanding it is indeed a dynamic. We hope to hear back from your fine collaborate group at some point in the near future. Thank you and God Bless America!!

Audio – Rep Allen West – WMAL 105.9 Interview – Election 2012 and more

LISTEN TO THE ENTIRE INTERVIEW HERE BEFORE THINKING HE IS POUNDING CAIN PLEASE!

from: Amanda Gaines WMAL.com

WASHINGTON — Republican Presidential candidate Herman Cain has become a distraction in the race, says GOP Congressman Allen West.

“Beyond reassessing his campaign, he probably needs to understand that he is a distracter for what’s going on right now and we should move on,” said West, a Republican congressman who represents Florida.

West says Cain is no longer the front-running alternative to Romney — a role once held by candidates Michele Bachmann and Rick Perry, and that now belongs to former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

“I think it’s going to be a two-man race when you boil it down,” West told the WMAL Morning Majority.

Romney has “hit a certain plateau” that he “can’t break through,” West said.

“Speaker Gingrich does bring a lot of political intellect and experience to the table.  His ideas that he is able to bring forth are, you know, exceptional, and I think that’s what makes him very viable.”

Being a front-runner in the GOP race exposes contenders to much harsher questioning and criticism, and West says Gingrich will be no different.

“He does have that 200-pound rucksack on his back with a lot of the personal baggage that people are going to come at him about,” West said.

But if Gingrich is West’s first choice, what are the chances of a Gingrich-West ticket?

“If people in this country believe that I can make a difference and that I can help to get our country back on track… If I can make a difference, then I’ll answer that call,” West said.

Do you realize what we have at stake in this election next year? – by Neal Boortz – Talkmaster

by Neal Boortz for Townhall

OK, Republicans. Since you’re so religious and all – it’s time for a little “come to Jesus meetin’”. If you’re not familiar with the term, click on the link. It’s time for a little harsh dressing down.

Do you realize what we have at stake in this election next year? This isn’t just about taxes, pork spending, social security benefits and repairing bridges. This is about saving our Republic. Do you know we’re already past our life expectancy? Economies and societies built on the rule of law, liberty and economic freedom have this troubling tendency to destroy themselves at around the 200 year mark. This happens when people figure out they can use the ballot box to get their hands on someone else’s stuff.

Well guess what, folks? We’re there. We’re past there. We’re on the ropes. We’re old – and durned near on our deathbed.

We have a president who was not raised as an American. Oh, I know. He’s a citizen and all that … but he was not infused during his formative years with how fortunate he was to have been born in this country and what it means to be an American. He lived in Indonesia, for crying out loud, for much of his childhood; that and Hawaii. Well guess what? I lived in Hawaii too, and I can tell you that as a student in Hawaiian schools you weren’t exactly saturated with American culture and history. Hawaiian history? Sure. And that’s understandable. Hawaiians are very proud of their heritage. But U.S. history? Only what the schools absolutely had to include. And that private school, Punahou, that Obama went to in Honolulu? Here’s another “guess what?” My sister taught there; right around the time that Barry was a student. Again – not a place where you’re going to learn what a blessing it is to be an American and a citizen of the greatest nation on earth … ever.

Our president thinks that American greatness comes from government. He believes that free enterprise is inherently evil. He is robbing us of our economic liberty as he institutes a command economy. He believes in using tax policy for income redistribution rather than raising the revenue needed to pay for the basic (Constitutional) functions of government. He said he was going to fundamentally transform the United States of America, and we stupidly didn’t ask him just how he planned to do that. Now we know. And now we know that for our children to have half a chance of improving on the standard of living that we have enjoyed – or even living as well as we have — this man has to be sent back to a community organizing office behind a dry cleaner on the South Side of Chicago … STAT.

That brings us to Newt Gingrich and this little puddin’ storm over his comments on immigration. Newt suggested that we might not want to be rounding up people who have lived in this country – though illegally – for 25 years or so; during which time they raised families, started businesses, paid taxes and helped drive our economy; and ship them back to Mexico. As soon as those words were out of his mouth Michelle Bachmann – desperate for a way to ignite voters – started screeching about “amnesty.” In no time we had the ObamaMedia falling over itself to parrot the “amnesty” line and call Gingrich out on strikes.

Let the progs and libs play this thing any way they want … but you Replublicans; you GOPers … could you make a special effort and try to get serious here for a minute or two? Think! I’ve done it on occasion, and I can promise it’s not painful.

Do we need to enforce our immigration laws? Absolutely! Does the border with Mexico need to be secured? No doubt. And Gingrich has said he would do just that. But a bit of realism needs to creep into this conversation.

I love analogies, so try this one: You come home from work to find a pipe has broken. Your home is flooded. What is the FIRST thing you do? Do you sit there and argue with people about how you’re going to get all that water out of your home? No. The FIRST thing you do is shut off the water. The same logic applies to our immigration problem. The first thing we do is secure our borders. Gingrich says he will shut them down.

OK … so the flood has stopped. NOW you start to clean up the mess.

Pajamas Media “Letter to the Republican Presidential Candidates from a Former Democrat”

Dear Lady and Gentlemen,

As you all know, we are living in parlous times, the most economically precarious since the Great Depression and the most militarily threatening since the fall of the Soviet Union. Many of our citizens fear this great country of ours is on the edge of collapse. Desperation stalks the land.

Yet if we were to watch the Republican debates, for the most part, all we see is bicker, bicker, bicker with candidates looking to score points off their opponents. Worse yet, most of these points are based on obscure malfeasances that would have little to do with how those opponents would actually perform as president.

Tuesday night in Las Vegas it almost reached the level of opera bouffe with one candidate vitriolically accusing another of, albeit unconsciously, using an illegal alien in his gardening service (something so common here in Southern California that, were laws enforced, three quarters of the population would be in jail). Nevertheless, instead of waving off this petty accusation or, better yet, turning it into a joke, the second candidate came back even harder. For a moment it almost seemed the two would come to blows – over nothing.

Fellas!

Everybody’s got an ego, everybody wants to win, but if you have to achieve that by cutting down the other guy, maybe you don’t deserve to lead, not these days anyway. Things are too extreme, the stakes too high. We need someone who can rise above it. Maybe even smile.

Don’t Sleep on Herman Cain – via Forbes’ John Fogby

by John Zogby

Herman Cain’s limited funding and campaign organization will make it difficult for him to survive dozens of state primaries and win the Republican nomination. However, his prominent standing in current polls is real and indicative of strengths he brings to the chase.

Our latest IBOPE Zogby interactive poll has Cain leading the GOP field at 38%. Polls continue to be volatile because Republican voters are hard to please, and none of the candidates has yet to meet their standards for pure conservatism and ability to beat Barack Obama.

Four different Republicans have led our polls since late last year: non-candidate Chris Christy, Michele Bachmann, Rick Perry and Cain (but not once has Mitt Romney led). Polls taken months before the first primaries are not predictive of who will win the nomination, but I feel very confident that our polling is accurately measuring current GOP voter preferences. More than 90 percent of our online panel consists of likely voters, and we know that those who identify as likely Republican primary voters are very motivated. These are the people who vote in lower turnout primaries and help candidates win. (A short note on process: we draw a random sample from a pool of potential respondents who get an invitation to take part in a survey. Only they can take the survey and they never know what the subject matter will be until they initiate the poll.)

Why Herman Cain’s poll numbers might rise even higher – The Christian Science Monitor

Riding a wave of good feeling among GOP voters, Herman Cain is now virtually tied with ex-Gov. Mitt Romney at the top of the Republican rankings, according to recent polls.

By Peter Grier

Wow! Herman Cain is rising fast in the polls, about as fast as any GOP presidential hopeful has this year. And that is saying something, considering that in 2011 Republican voter support has been gyrating up and down like the wild ride of the Dow Jones Average.

One moment, Cain’s hanging out with Newt Gingrich in the low single digits. Then, whammo! It’s goodbye, Michele Bachmann. See you later, Ron Paul. Pardon my dust, Rick Perry. Hi, Mitt Romney. Nice to see you. The view sure is great from up here in the top tier.

It’s true. Riding a wave of good feeling among GOP voters generated by strong debate performances, Mr. Cain is now pretty much tied with ex-Gov. Romney at the top of the Republican rankings, according to recent polls.

On Monday, for instance, Gallup released survey figures showing Romney at 20 percent, and Cain at 18 percent. The poll’s margin of error is plus-or-minus four points, so that means the duo’s support is essentially equal.

What’s more, only a month ago the same Gallup poll put Cain at only 5 percent. In this survey his support has tripled within weeks.

Former Obama Czar Calls Tea Party ‘the Worst,’ Steals the Party’s Playbook

by The Christian Post

A former White House aide told liberal activists the Tea Party’s agenda is “the worst” but said their accomplishments are worth copying. Tea Party members, meanwhile, say the left will never be able to copy the group’s success as long their ideology embraces redistribution of wealth.

Van Jones, President Barack Obama‘s green jobs adviser, noted at the “Take Back the American Dream” conference Monday that the Tea Party has built a network that achieves results without a formal leadership model or even headquarters.

“They use their charismatic leaders to build something bigger than any leader,” Jones told the crowd. “They talk rugged individualism, but they act collectively.”

By contrast, he said, liberals talk collectively but act as individuals. Jones chided progressives for being too reliant on Obama and urged them to galvanize and take to the streets in the name of the middle class. Tea Party Nation President Judson Phillips said the terms “the worst” and “silly” could also be used to describe Jones and his ideology. Jones resigned from the Obama administration after controversy arose over his crude remarks to Republicans and his political affiliations.

Jones affiliated himself with conspiracy group 9/11Truth.com by supporting its petition suggesting that President George W. Bush deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen. Jones was also affiliated with the group Standing Together to Organize a Revolutionary Movement. Glenn Beck uncovered the group as having Marxist roots. STORM’s handbook, which Beck also revealed, stated the group began a rectification process that would rebuild “political and personal unity” and make a “definite collective shift towards communist politics.”
