“Protect American Jobs for American Workers” Allen West, Ted Cruz, CL Bryant, Katrina Pierson and more

Why the March to preserve American jobs for American workers?

DC March for Jobs

Former Congressman Allen West has just accepted the role of keynote speaker at next month’s D.C. March for Jobs, which is being sponsored by the Black American Leadership Alliance (BALA) in protest against the amnesty bill now making its way through the U.S. Senate.

If passed, BALA believes the bill will not only be a disaster for American workers overall, but will hit African-American workers especially hard.

The group’s website states:

If passed, the Gang of Eight’s proposed immigration bill will be costly for all Americans, but will harm black American workers more than any other group. Mass immigration and amnesty puts those poorest Americans from all walks of life out of work and suppresses wages, causing them to compete with aliens willing to work in poorer working conditions for cheaper pay.

When 22 million Americans are either out of work or unemployed, now is no time to further over-saturate the labor force with increased immigration levels and amnesty. If Congress doesn’t stop this irresponsible legislation, the United States will continue to see more and more Americans of all races out of jobs and on the streets.

We believe it is time that members of Congress act to preserve economic opportunity for American workers – and pass immigration legislation that protects and supports the nearly 22 million American citizens who do not have jobs, or cannot find adequate employment to support their families. Economists report that labor participation in the U.S. is at its lowest rate in over 30 years.

Despite sluggish economic conditions, some in Congress have put forth immigration proposals to increase legal immigration levels by 50% and provide amnesty to over 11 million people who have entered the country illegally. We stand against these proposals, as they will result in adding millions more to the U.S. labor force, putting millions of American citizens out of work.

The march will take place on Monday, July 15, 2013 at 9:30 a.m. Marchers will assemble at Freedom Plaza and head down Pennsylvania Avenue to a rally at the Capitol.

Of course, conservatives have been excited to hear the rumors that West may be challenging amnesty supporter Sen. Marco Rubio for his Senate seat in 2014 (Rumor also has it that West just may confirm those suspicions at the July 15 rally!).

BALA is currently organizing caravans of buses to carry demonstrators to Washington.

If you want to join a bus, and register as a rally attendee, please email your state organizer (Make sure to include your city, and phone number.)…

Leah Durant, one of the event’s organizers has asked this reporter to convey to my readers as loudly as possible, that this march is open to Americans of all races and political persuasions!

As Americans, we must stand together against this disastrous legislation, or we will all be destroyed by it.

Remember, for every illegal alien with a job, there is an American without one.

I hope the American taxpayers realize it cost them $1.6M for President Obama to fly to Nevada for a campaign rally speech. I think he could have stayed in DC, with his beloved teleprompters, and saved us the money.

Actually, he could have saved us another speech and just let the legislative branch do their work. Gotta give it to the President, he knows how to seize the day and make himself the focus of attention. It just killed him to see a bipartisan group of eight US Senators have the stage.

SENATOR MARCO RUBIO ENDORSES ALLEN WEST FOR CONGRESS IN FLORIDA’S 18TH DISTRICT

Stuart, FL – Allen West for Congress today announced an endorsement from Senator Marco Rubio who provided the following statement:

“I am pleased to endorse my fellow Floridian, Congressman Allen West, in his campaign for re-election. Congressman West provides a strong, clear voice for conservative principles in the House of Representatives, and his willingness to tackle the critical issues facing our nation demonstrates not only the strength of his character but the depth of his courage.

Character and courage are indeed the fundamental qualities of Allen West, a man who served this country in the uniform of the United States Army for 22 years, and continues to serve in elected office.

At this crucial time for our nation, when damaging fiscal policies have left millions without jobs and added trillions to our national debt, when ambiguous foreign policy emboldens our enemies and isolates our allies, we need leaders like Allen West to help guide the United States back to prosperity and ensure its citizens are secure for generations to come.”

Congressman West said:

“I am honored to have Senator Rubio stand with me and I look forward to continuing to serve with him as we restore the greatness of our Republic.”

Why I believe in the Tea party by Rob Rosasco (Allen West, Marco Rubio, Pam Bondi and more)

by Rob Rosasco – ROBERTAROSASCO@AOL.COM

America’s oldest political demonstration formed the roots of the tea party today. In 1773 American colonists, furious over a British tax on tea, dumped a shipload of British tea into Boston harbor.

Conservatives of both parties and Republicans in particular are part of the tea party movement because government spending and taxation are out of control. Spending and borrowing have created an unprecedented debt that threatens our nation. These are the driving principles of the tea party.

The tea party message has resonated across the country and in 2010 the election results were dramatic. Republicans took control of congress and most of the new members were tea party activists. In Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Gov. Rick Scott, Attorney General Pam Bondi and U.S. Rep. Allen West won with tea party support. And across the country over 700 new conservative legislators were elected. Most were Republican.

The tea party has awakened thousands of citizens to the important issues facing our nation. These new activists are studying, learning about self-government and getting involved in the political process. They attend town hall meetings and are contacting their elected officials.

All this has alarmed the left, which is now using all their old angry rhetoric from the past. The left is angry because they love big government. They believe that government should make more decisions for us and that we are not capable of governing ourselves. Last Wednesday, Leonard Pitts stated the left’s position perfectly. “The new Republicans and tea party people are anti-government, anti-Muslim, anti-gay, anti-science, anti-tax, anti-facts and anti the new demographic represented by a dark skinned president (meaning blacks).”

These are angry, absurd and inflammatory statements. Republican and tea party people are not anti-government. To do away with government is anarchy and they believe in the Constitution and this excellent form of government. But they do believe that government must be reduced in size.

Tea party has proved its political credentials by Deb Welch

By Deb Welch of Tea Party Hilton Head

n April 2009, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi said of the tea party, “It’s not really a grass-roots movement, it’s AstroTurf.”

In November 2010, Pelosi learned that AstroTurf will grow; she lost her position as speaker.

The tea party supported minority candidates, including Tim Scott, Allen West, Marco Rubio, Nikki Haley, Susana Martinez and David Rivera. Regardless, the tea party has been vilified by some Democrats and the liberal media, which like to portray the group as racist, neo-Nazi, gun-toting wackos. Newly elected politicians representing their conservative constituents are called obstructionists.

As voters reverse a socialistic direction this country has taken, those who would eradicate the tea party become angrier. Their best defense is to attack and discredit the movement through insinuation, hyperbole and lies.

For those who value truth, the tea party strongly supports tenets established by the country’s founders: restraint of government is necessary to protect the liberties of the people, and liberty requires personal responsibility; government should function within its means and not saddle future generations with crushing debt; the Constitution governs our nation and safeguards the freedom of its citizens.

Thomas Jefferson said, “Most bad government has grown out of too much government.”

The tea party believes that decisions about our children’s education and our families’ health care should not be dictated by a federal bureaucracy or an elite group of politicians in Washington. Before casting your next vote, learn more about the tea party. Visit www.teapartyhhi.org and join us.

Christie Says No, but Plans Next Move

Posted by Ryan Mauro

The Republican candidates for president in 2012 have let go a sigh of relief as New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced that he won’t take the plunge. Absent a late entry by Sarah Palin, the field is set, but quickly changing. This doesn’t mean Christie’s ambitions are limited to his state. In his announcement, he left open the possibilities of being vice president, not running for re-election in 2013, and running for president in the future.

“It didn’t feel right in my gut,” said Governor Christie on Tuesday. He couldn’t get himself to leave his job unfinished in New Jersey, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t planning on having a big future. “Now is not my time,” he said, leaving the door open to being vice president or president.

“I’m not going to preclude any employment in the future,” Christie stated. He ducked a question about being the 2012 nominee’s running mate, saying, “I just don’t think I have the personality to be asked.”

In several ways, being the 2012 vice presidential candidate would be ideal for Christie. The N.J. legislative elections are this November, potentially allowing Christie to advance his agenda at accelerated speed. By the time of the Republican National Convention on August 12, 2012, he can safely argue that he is satisfied with what he has achieved in N.J. and has the necessary experience to be commander-in-chief if need be. By being the vice presidential nominee, he stops another running mate from coming to the forefront in 2016 if President Obama is re-elected. It also leaves the option open of seeking re-election or not, depending on the outcome of the race, and gives him experience in running a national campaign.

Christie knows he will be on any nominee’s short-list as a running mate. He is an incredible attack dog and will fire up the base. He is immensely popular and would be a dynamic fundraiser. He has a remarkable record of bi-partisanship, as his close friendship with Democratic Mayor of Newark, Cory Booker, shows. The two have productively worked together and talk nearly every day. Some mayors in Hudson County, a Democratic bastion, openly praise him. Union City Mayor Brian Stack, a Democrat, calls him the best governor in the history of the state.

The major disadvantage in picking Christie is that he isn’t from a battleground state and he isn’t a minority. For those reasons, Florida Senator Marco Rubio, Florida Congressman Allen West, Herman Cain and Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell are strong competitors. However, it is possible that by picking Christie, President Obama will be forced to spend time and money in a state he should have locked up. It is also possible that Christie’s popularity in N.J. could have some impact on Pennsylvania, a battleground state where 51% say Obama doesn’t deserve re-election and only 43% approve of his performance.
