Allen West “Harry Reid doesn’t care if you know the truth on Benghazi”

Last week there was a very telling CBS 60 Minutes segment by Lara Logan on Benghazi. Anyone believing this is a ‘phony scandal’ is part of the incredible cover-up being promoted.

It has been over a year and we still have no idea about the truth behind what occurred at the US Libyan consulate. Matter of fact, we do not even know of the whereabouts of President Obama that evening. His last directive, as he has stated, was to ensure those at the embassy got all the resources they needed, but for some reason that never happened.

This weekend there was good and bad news for our warriors fighting against radical Islamism. Unfortunately four of our brave warriors gave the last full measure of devotion in Afghanistan. Our heartfelt condolences go out to those families who will have an empty chair at the dinner table. Our Special Operators conducted two tactical raid missions in Somalia and Libya. The operation in Libya resulted in capture of a Muslim terrorist with ties to the US Embassy attacks, al-Liby. However, he is being treated as a criminal and supposedly will be transferred to US to get lawyered up for a day in court. He should be heading to GITMO. Regardless of these successful raids, here’s another thing you can add to the list POTUS has shut down: a strategic policy in the Middle East to combat Islamic terrorism.

Tuesday evening at the end of his 16 minute speech, President Obama stated, “terrible things happen across the globe…we should act, that’s what makes America exceptional.”

I find his words utterly disgusting because the next day we remembered the four Americans who were abandoned by President Obama to die in Libya. Obama offered no righteous indignation or call for a moral obligation to avenge and punish the Islamic terrorist murderers responsible or this tragedy. In fact, Obama has labeled it a “phony scandal.”

Where is the outrage?

Christians are being butchered daily…where is his outrage?

Israel is taking rocket and missile fire…where is his outrage?

The late August chemical attack against the Syrians was not the first. Some 100,000 Syrians had already been killed by conventional munitions…where was his outrage then?

Obama has shown incompetence and weakness in his foreign policy, and has not presented a credible threat to Assad and Putin. If he wanted to respond he could have. God knows he did not seek congressional approval for Libya! Instead, he has been strategically outmaneuvered by Putin, lost the initiative, and allowed Putin to look like a statesman while he looks like a confused community organizer.

American can do better.

@AllenWest “We have elected officials who don’t want to get to the truth and they continue to promulgate this cover-up”

Allen WEst

Former Congressman Allen West (R-FL) spoke at a Justice for Benghazi Rally on the first anniversary of the attacks on our diplomatic facility in Libya and the 12th anniversary of the attacks on New York and Washington, D.C. by Islamic terrorists.

The attacks are ongoing and relentless. Yesterday, Taliban forces attacked a U.S. Embassy in Harat, Afghanistan, killing two and injuring scores of others.

At the rally, attended by William J. Murray, Chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition and the Government Is Not God Political Action Committee,West told the audience: “We, as a people, have to stand up, because we cannot settle for this and come to believe the new normal is that an ambassador can call up and say ‘We’re under attack’ and have elected officials do nothing about it.”

West accused Obama of lacking a sense of moral obligation about the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and others at the Libyan compound who “ran to the sound of the guns, while others on that night ran to bed.”

According to West: “… we have elected officials who don’t want to get to the truth and they continue to promulgate this cover-up with very complicit media.”

Syria should be seen as a long chess game, deserving of patience and skill. Obama has neither. Listen to Col. Allen West’s take on what should be done in Syria and the region. Or rather, whether anything can be done.

@PJTV @AllenWest As President Obama prepares to address the nation tonight about possible military action in Syria, everyone has something to say about the matter. The situation should be seen as a long chess game, necessitating patience and skill.

@AllenWest “Mr. President, you have not earned anyone’s respect to follow you, May I remind you of the result of your unilateral actions in Libya?”

Listening to President Obama in Sweden saying he never set a red line and that his credibility isn’t on the line, but rather the credibility of America, Congress, and the International community. It never ceases to amaze me how Obama never takes any responsibility for his actions. He is the leader of the United States of America and he sets the tone, not Joe and Jane. As a leader, he did nothing for all these months and now wants to enjoin everyone in his abject failure and abdication of accountability. I am not buying into Obama’s weak attempt of guilt-tripping us. Mr. President, you have not earned anyone’s respect to follow you, May I remind you of the result of your unilateral actions in Libya? Also, is it not perplexing that within the last 6 years, Pelosi, Kerry, and Hillary Clinton all sat with and praised Assad, but now they want to blow him up?

@AllenWest “Let’s not have such a short-term memory. Obama went into Libya without congressional approval”

Don’t Let Obama Make You a Scapegoat for Syria: Congress

Allen West Benghazi - Syria

LISTEN TO THE DISCUSSION WITH ALLEN WEST AND LAURA INGRAHAM BY CLICKING HERE: TOWNHALL.COM

On Laura Ingraham’s radio show on Monday, West said this was a symptom of Obama not wanting to deal with those consequences and looking for someone to share the blame, should action in Syria go wrong. He pointed to Obama’s actions against Libya which he didn’t seek congressional approval to back up that claim.

“I think what you just saw play out was a president who has a history of voting ‘present,’ and all of a sudden he got out ahead of himself, and he realized that, ‘If I take an action on my own, I’m going to own this,’” West said. “And no one is thinking like the military mindset, what are the branches and sequels of an action? What is the counter-reaction? What is the follow-on, second- and third-order effects we’re going to have to contend with? And I believe that is something President Obama does not want to deal with.”

“So therefore he says, ‘Well, you know, I want to do this, but let me go to Congress, and let’s get them to approve it, because if something bad happens down the road then we can always come back and say, ‘I probably would not have done if Congress had not approved it and given me the authority,’” West continued. “But let’s not have such a short-term memory. He went into Libya without congressional approval. He went beyond the 90 days of the war powers resolution, the War Powers Act. And we lost an ambassador. We lost Sean Smith, Ty Woods, Glen Doherty. That was sovereign American territory, that consulate there. We did nothing. We have done nothing. Where is our response to Benghazi? Who has been held accountable for that other than the poor little schmuck that’s still sitting in jail because of a video?”

@AllenWest “The Obama admin has a confused Middle East policy and has shown ineptness in understanding the second and third order effects”

NGTV AW

by Allen West via Facebook

Watched Senators McCain and Graham’s press conference after their meeting with President Obama on the subject of Syria. It seems the tagline to be used is ‘degrade Assad and upgrade the resistance.’ I hate to be the one to ruin the party, but this administration did exactly that in Libya and never considered the unintended consequences. Now in Libya we have a proliferation of Islamist forces who are training terrorist insurgents to head to Syria, supported by the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda, as well as a consulate attack resulting in the death of four Americans, one being an Ambassador. In Egypt we ‘deposed’ Mubarak and enabled the Muslim Brotherhood and the unintended consequences are a civil war in Egypt and increased persecution of the Coptic Christians. So here we go again with the Obama administration, and useful tools from Congress, embarking America on a nebulous endeavor in the Middle East without consideration of the untended consequences. The opposition in Syria are Islamists supported by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, and Al Qaeda, and the Muslim Brotherhood. The Obama administration has not supported the Free Syrian Army under COL Riad. NO, to any US military action in Syria. The Obama administration has a confused Middle East policy and has shown ineptness in understanding the second and third order effects.

@AllenWest “Obama’s grand strategy in the Middle East Seems to be how many countries he can destabilize: Libya, Egypt, and now Syria?”

AW NGTV

by Allen West via Facebook

Ok, I get it now, President Obama stated we would pivot away from the Middle East as part of his foreign policy strategy, or lack thereof. A few months ago, he gave a speech at the National Defense University to state that the “war on terror” has ended. Obama’s grand strategy in the Middle East Seems to be how many countries he can destabilize: Libya, Egypt, and now Syria? In each case he has removed not so good guys, but has enabled Islamic terrorists and totalitarians to gain power. Therefore, not only has Obama sought to “fundamentally transform” America but also the Middle East. He is becoming the best buddy of the Muslim Brotherhood and jihadists and a nightmare for our true buddy, Israel.
