“Yesterday the ghost of immigration reform past reared its ugly head. In 1986 we went down this exact same road with amnesty for 2-3 million illegal immigrants. I heard the word “contingent” used often. Furthermore, the Senate Judiciary Cmte is headed by Bernie Sanders of Vermont. The final decision on immigration could mean a permanent dependent class and a permanent electoral block for the next generation. One can only estimate where political loyalties would lie, and imagine what happens to job opportunities for those here in America legally.”

Medicare paid more than $120 million from 2009 to 2011 for claims from inmates and undocumented residents, violating federal law, according to a pair of reports by HHS’ Office of Inspector General, Politico reports.
According to the reports, nearly 3,000 undocumented residents filed thousands of claims resulting in $91.6 million in Medicare payments. In addition, 11,600 inmates submitted more than 75,000 claims resulting in $33.6 million in Medicare payments.
On Friday, President Obama circumvented Congress and proceeded forward with executive action that will potentially grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants.
Aside from the political desperation, what’s most troubling about the President’s announcement, is that there was no debate, no opportunity to examine the policy, and the President has once again completely circumvented the checks and balances in our Constitution.
I need your help to fight this dangerous executive overreach. We’ve set a goal of 500 donors standing up for secure borders and I’m counting on you
Friday’s announcement by the Department of Homeland Security is the height of arrogance and just the latest example of the utter contempt President Obama has for the Constitution.
We are getting away from a government that’s based upon consent of the American people and we are moving toward government by executive edict.
