Allen West “Clearly President Obama lacks the resume and qualifications to lead this great nation”

Out of the Foxhole

by Allen West “Out of the Foxhole” for Washington Times Communities

America elevated Barack Obama to the highest position in the country to eradicate any sense that this nation judged anyone based upon the color of their skin.

However, this great nation was so dedicated to pressing forward and forgetting past injustices, we allowed affirmative action to take hold at the highest level.

The fundamental thesis of Shelby Steele’s book White Guilt aptly applies to the case of Mr. Obama. The guilt that white America – primarily white liberals—wanted overcome and wash away created the first affirmative action presidency. It is not that standards were simply lowered; they were, and remain, non-existent for the first African-American president. And any questioning of President Obama is deemed as racist.

It’s starting to feel a lot like election season.

We’re officially within one year of the 2014 midterm elections, but the way the Left has launched a war against conservatives, you’d think the elections were being held tomorrow!

Our endorsed candidates – Dan Bongino, Tom Cotton, and Mia Love – are facing some particularly harsh attacks, validating why the Guardian Fund endorsed them. They’re great conservative leaders who will play a major role in crafting the policy and value set of America’s future.

In Maryland,  Dan Bongino is being accused of “hijacking the Secret Service brand” in an attempt to “draw attention to himself.” The truth is the things Dan saw and heard while protecting President Obama – like the deals made behind closed doors to pass Obamacare – inspired him to run. But of course Obama’s liberal allies don’t want you to know that.

In Arkansas,Tom Cotton is being accused of violating campaign finance laws by illegally soliciting contributions during a radio interview with Hugh Hewitt. The truth is this allegation was proved wrong weeks ago but the liberal media, who of course support Tom’s opponent, love the headline an ethics probe makes.

And in Utah, Mia Love is being accused of spending too much of the money her campaign has raised. The truth is Mia’s campaign learned the hard way in 2010 that you have to have a strong infrastructure to win tough races, so they’re investing in their ground game early – but that makes a really boring story.

The Guardian Fund is preparing to fight back. Will you help us build up our arsenal by donating $25, $50, $100, or more today?

Our goal is to raise $250,000 online between now and December 31 to ensure the Guardian Fund is fully armed come 2014. Thank you in advance for your support.

@AllenWest “Extortion 17, Benghazi, and Camp Bastion….America better wake up and recognize the error you made”

by Allen West via Facebook

15 September 2013, was the one year anniversary of the Taliban attack against US Marine Corps base Camp Bastion in Helmand Province Afghanistan. The attack was the largest loss of US combat aircraft since Vietnam and resulted in the loss of two stellar Marines, one being the AV-8B Harrier Squadron Commander Lt. Col. Raible. I want you all to remember this incident because our American Marines were not being guarded by Marines, but Tongans. The fifteen Taliban had conducted reconnaissance and surveillance and exploited the weakness and were able to breach the base perimeter. This failure has never been a focus of the Obama administration to rectify and explain to the families of the Marines who were killed and wounded. I suppose this was not part of the campaign narrative in 2012. Extortion 17, Benghazi, and Camp Bastion….America better wake up and recognize the error you made. Semper Fidelis.

Angela West “As the World Turns……..We must also. The Future of the GOP —- Part 1”

The Republican Coffee Corner with Angela

As the World Turns……..We must also. The Future of the GOP —- Part 1

This is just a small page and as such it relies, at least for now, on the observations and words of one person — me. Feel free to open your mind and reply prodigiously because I believe in the androgogical (made up word meaning you learn from me and I learn from you) rather than the pedagogical (you learn only from me) experience. As you know, I reply to many comments!!!!

Yesterday, I asked you to read the New York Times article which inquired as to whether the Republicans as heading towards obsolescence. I know that many of you have “in-boxed” me to say “I never read the Times”; “The Times is too left leaning for me”;”Not interested in THAT paper”; but I ask you: IF YOU DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE UP AGAINST, HOW IN THE WORLD WILL YOU BE ABLE TO WIN AGAIN!!!!!! I will now lower my voice. Boxers study their opponent, they know where to hit, when and how hard. GOOD managers of basketball, football, hockey and any professional sporting team will spend hours studying even the most minute movement in order to exploit a “hole” in the strategy. They will ruthlessly search films in “slo-mo”, “freeze-frame” and simulation for hours in order to gain a scintilla of advantage.

And you know what? In the “game” of sports — (I have two daughters but grew up in a household consisting of several brothers and when I say several I mean more than 4) so I know people understand this analogy. Going back, in any game of sports, the winner takes all. The winning coaches are invited back, the losers are sent packing. It is a system that will reward the winner and therefore teach the loser to be a winner, eventually. Very interesting concept — you learn from your mistakes and don’t continue to “dig in” — diggin’ in another concept that will lead you straight to the bottom.

Now you say “Angela why are you talking about the coaches and not the players?”; Well because many things can befall a player (injury, bad luck etc..), the player is interested in the tactical side of the house. He/She realizes that the task at hand is what is important. The “tactical “strategy” of a player is often a very personal one and very, very important because each piece will contribute to the “whole”. Now the coach, on the other hand, is concerned with the “strategic” side of the house. Also termed “the long game” or “the big picture”, the leadership of the team — coaches, managers, and ultimately owners are looking at each hierarchical level at the team; league and the franchise as a whole.

The winning team, business and political party will make decisions based upon “strategical” implications and not the individual whims and ambitions of one player………. I am only in business, my readers, but this mantra will hold true for any endeavor —– If you apply tactical thinking to a strategic problem, you will lose, lose lose. And eventually, you will be out of existence — either by attrition or by design.

So, now you ask (I know that this is a burning question), “How can we identify those characteristics that lead us to lose?” Well, let me give you some of the characteristics of the losing team and the words they use……

1. The loser will subconsciously admit to losing by trying to distance him/herself with the team that they are on. For example, they will register as “independents”, put down their own party, and “secretly” vote Republican. Their bumper stickers are peeled off for fear of being “attacked”; they shyly whisper “I’m Republican” or refer to themselves as “Rockefeller Republicans” often to people who do not know one iota about what they are speaking about and could not care less. The real reason they do this is because they want to distinguish themselves from the “Tea Party Republicans” who they view as …… well….. not them.

2. They give up. I watch March Madness and ultimately the Final Four cheering for the little teams . The “Cinderella Story” ,so to speak, of the tiny school in a rural state where the whole school shows to to support the team. From this side of the court, you will witness passion, cohesiveness and desire. Beautiful thing to behold. These are winners. People, the point here is not for you to send me stories about small teams who win the game —– follow me here….. In 2010 we saw a winning revitalized Republican bench. Then the reason for the winning bench was excoriated, on both sides. We gave up and allowed the ambitions of a few to lead the way. Those who speak up, were told to “shut the $%#* up” and became silent. The concept of smaller government, religious freedom, constitutional rights and conservationism gave way to “shut up and go along” —- Lunch is being served at the Capital Hill Club at noon so lets get this out of the way. “They like me again”, get real, they don’t — the play-ground is where you first realize that it is better to go home with a torn dress, busted shoes and your hair in a tither than be “punked”. I remember as a daughter of a military member, my family moved often until we went to Germany. Every time you showed up somewhere, especially in some of the rougher states, another student would challenge you to something… often a fight of some sort. I remember the words “Angela Graham we gon’ meet you at bus stop 2” —- be there….As the bus pulled out of the school I remember feeling scared, real scared, removing my earrings, tying my hair back, and methodically getting myself ready for the “beat down”. I put a wad of gum in my mouth — not sure what that was for but it “looked” tough, tennis shoes on and I was “ready” to get off at bus stop 2. I was never in a fight (that day). Showed up, looked tough and did not back down (also remember the “several” brothers). So… up, don’t give up and of course have people around you who have your back-up. —- Not faking it.

3. DO NOT ADMIT DEFEAT! Do not fly the white flag unless you are under attack, comrades down or in trouble, and you have no other option. What do I mean about “flying the white flag?” Using the words of the opposition such as “Middle Class” — we do not live in a caste society; using words such as “they won’t vote for us anyways” — how do you know unless you try?; I can’t stand to listen/read/watch/debate anything they say —- they are “stupid”. —- They are not, they are well educated, well funded and technologically astute, but that does not mean we “get off at bus stop 1” —- lets stop getting “punked”.

In parting, read this for the content and meaning. Please, no old sports homilies, Pass it around, get involved, get technologically savvy. And forget the pundits. All the while we comforted ourselves looking at Karl Rove’s “whiteboard” which is reminiscent of the boards used by Ross Perot, they had cool tech savvy and smart, Nate Silver debunking our cozy, fire-side apple pie complacency that people wanted to return to the “Good ol’ Days” —– when you see me, understand that the “good ole days” were not so good for the likes of me. Cookin’ and cleanin’ , not putting those activities down — are necessary — so much so that I work extra hard to pay for it, but those two gems are admittedly not my strong suit Mizz Scarlett. (SMILE); (LOL).

Congressman Allen West’s Weekly Wrap Up – November 2, 2012

Dear Patriots-

Greetings to our Constituents, fellow Floridians, and all Americans. It is time for our weekly update. I pray all of your children and grandchildren enjoyed a wonderful and safe Halloween and got plenty of treats.

Speaking of which, today the October jobs report numbers were released, and no matter what the figure, the bottom line is simple, 23 million Americans are still struggling for employment in our nation.

I am pleased to hear nationally there were some 171,000 jobs created, and I pray these were full-time employment jobs and not predominantly part-time positions. However, we need a private sector jobs market that is creating 250,000 to 300,000 jobs per month to get us moving back to a national full time employment rate of 5%.

Today the unemployment rate released was 7.9%, but the projection from the almost $1 trillion stimulus package — one of President Barack Obama’s deemed legislative successes — stated unemployment would be at 5.8%. In other words, at the end of his first term, America is 2.1% worse off in reported unemployment. Were Americans tricked into believing the stimulus would work?

We still have an alarming U6 employment rate (unemployed, underemployed, and dropped from the rolls) of 14.6%, just down from 14.7%. And lastly, our workforce participation rate remains very troubling, at an historic low rate of 63.8%. The key point here is that we have more Americans forced into part-time employment or simply forced out of the workforce.

We also must consider that President Obama promised to cut the annual federal deficit in half at the end of his first term. To put that into perspective, the first annual deficit under President George W. Bush (when Nancy Pelosi was House Speaker and Harry Reid was Senate Leader) was $458 billion. According to President Obama’s promise, we should be looking at an annual federal deficit in this fourth year of his term at $230 billion.

Instead we have had annual deficits under President Obama of $1.42 trillion, $1.29 trillion, $1.3 trillion, and now at the end of his first term… $1.1 trillion. How many Americans were tricked into thinking our deficits would reduce?

President Obama likes to talk about his economic plan. Well, his Fiscal Year 2013 budget is evidence of his economic vision. It includes $1.9 trillion in new taxes, but the debt — which was $10.6 trillion when he came into office and is now $16 trilliion — grows to $20 trillion in four years, and $26 trillion over the next ten years. Annual deficits never go below $900 billion. His budget never balances. And all the American people get is a 53% increase in the Federal Government… if they’re tricked into accepting it.

Considering the looming “fiscal cliff,” we are hardly out of the woods, and could easily slip into a double-dip recession. Higher taxes on job creators will result in more uncertainty, higher unemployment, and economic malaise.

Let us not forget that we are limping along with a Gross Domestic Product that is not going “Forward” — it is positively anemic, with the last report for third quarter at only 2%, actually 1.6% when one eliminates Federal Government spending.

Al Qaeda is not decimated. And we are not ending combat engagements, we are just going home. The horrific incidents of the 11th anniversary of 9-11 where we had countless United States Embassies and Consulates attacked, a United States Ambassador killed for the first time since the Carter Administration, and three other Americans, including two former US Navy SEALS, all remind us that the world is more unstable and the Obama foreign policy has proven the projection of weakness is provocative.

The saving grace America is that in September of 1980 the final unemployment statistic for the Carter Administration before the election was 7.5%… and subsequently America got a treat: President Ronald Wilson Reagan.

Today, we learned the unemployment rate today was 7.9%…Trick or treat, America.

Steadfast and Loyal,

P.S. The thoughts and prayers of my wife Angela and I continue to be with the people of New Jersey and New York City who have been severely affected by Hurricane Sandy. Many here in South Florida have relatives and connections to the areas worse hit by the storm. In this time, we pray God will provide you the comfort and perseverance to weather this storm. Just as a new day began the day after the storm passed, so shall, in the coming days, an even better sun rise upon your restored lives and communities… America is always here for you.

NEW VIDEO NRCC – Congressman Allen West “This Is Our America”

Published on Oct 23, 2012 by | For generations, we’ve understood that with a little hard work, nothing was beyond our grasp. It’s time we had a government that worked with us, and not against us. The “This is Our America” campaign shares stories from candidates and regular Americans around the country who are fired up about the 2012 election and have faith that America is bigger than it’s challenges.

We are the National Republican Congressional Committee, and our mission is to make sure Congress spends and taxes less, so the economy can get back on track.

When I think about what kind of America I want to leave for my children and my grandchildren – it’s not one that’s saddled in debt.

None of us want that.

This new video I filmed about our values, our communities and our America speaks about this.

This election means the restoration of this great Constitutional Republic. It means we will recommit to the fundamental principles and values that make us an exceptional nation.

In the Army, we didn’t leave anything to chance.

With 14 days left, neither should you: please give $10, $15 or even $30 today.

Let’s ensure we open up a new chapter in the history of this great nation.

Join me. Watch this new video and donate to help us finish strong.

It’s up to you. I know you won’t let me down.

Steadfast and loyal,

(Ret.) Lt. Col. Allen West (R-FL)

The American dream very simply is the fact that a young man born in the inner city of Atlanta, Georgia 1961 now lives here. That’s the American dream. There’s no such thing as a Somali dream, a Chinese dream, there’s one dream — the American dream and that’s why people came to these shores.

Everything is at stake in this election. What America we will have is at stake in this election. I think it’s a clear-cut choice between what we are trying to represent as constitutional conservatives and what the other side is trying to represent.

A lot of people are very afraid, they’re very concerned about the fact that the American dream they’ve enjoyed and has enabled them to be where they are today may not be there for their children and grandchildren. That future, that thing we have always passed on to subsequent generations is that which is threatened right now. They want men and women who are convicted and will go out right now and go up to Washington, DC and fight for them. It just so happens I have the great opportunity to not do that anymore in camouflage uniform and boots, I get to do that now in a suit and a tie.

When I think about what kind of America I leave for my children and my grandchildren — I can’t saddle them with this debt. I can’t saddle them with the dependency society. I want to make sure they have the opportunities that I had growing up that enabled me to be here today.

November the 7th means the restoration of this great constitutional republic. It means we will go back and recommit to the fundamental principles and values that make us an exceptional nation. And it means we will once again rekindle and reignite the American entrepreneurial and indomitable spirit — that’s what November the 7th will mean. It will mean that we will open up a new chapter in the history of this great nation.

Allen West’s Campaign Manager, Tim Edson, released this statement regarding Murphy’s desperate and increasingly ridiculous excuses

Stuart, FL –  Today West for Congress Campaign Manager, Tim Edson, released this statement regarding Patrick Murphy’s desperate and increasingly ridiculous excuses for refusing four substantive debates with Allen West:

“On August 15th, Allen West challenged Patrick Murphy to four substantive televised debates open to the public.  Murphy spent several days desperately searching for debate hosts and formats he believed to be favorable.  His response made clear he is trying to dodge serious debates with Allen West.

Now Murphy is refusing to debate Allen West if rebuttals are included in the format. Apparently Patrick Murphy is unfamiliar with the purpose of a debate.  Without rebuttals, Patrick Murphy would be able to mindlessly repeat the talking points of Nancy Pelosi and his political handlers.

Patrick Murphy doesn’t want to debate because he knows he will embarrass himself, given his ignorance on the issues. Instead, Patrick Murphy wants to hide behind his father’s dishonest, racist attack ads and political handlers who tell him what to say, when to say it and how to say it.  Patrick Murphy is an empty suit. He feels entitled and expects his father to buy him a seat in the United States House of Representatives.

Considering Patrick Murphy and his campaign are so dependent on his father, if it would make Patrick Murphy more comfortable to have his father at his side, Allen West would be happy to debate both of them at the same time.”

Allen West’s debate challenge stands. The West Campaign looks forward to negotiating the details of four substantive debates. The moderators should be unbiased, the debates should be open to the public and they should be televised. It’s time for Patrick Murphy to tell voters where he stands on the issues.
