Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 – Allen West: Out of the Foxhole

by Allen B. West

Palm Beach Gardens, FL, November 11, 2013 — After last week’s elections in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, the political pundit class had very unsurprising conclusions for the GOP. First, Governor Chris Christie will get the GOP presidential nomination in 2016. Second, the GOP needs to follow Christie’s model and become more moderate.

Therein lies the fundamental difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans play checkers, an impulsive, reactionary game while Democrats play chess. They develop a long strategic plan to be implemented incrementally, eventually attaining their objectives by any means necessary.

Saul Alinsky, the Chicago native, admitted Marxist and author of the book, Rules for Radicals is a legendary figure in the playbook of leftist, progressive tactics. Alinsky identified a set of very specific rules that ordinary citizens could follow as a means of gaining public power through revolution.

However, Alinsky’s brand of revolution was not characterized by dramatic, sweeping, or overnight transformations of social institutions. Instead Alinsky advocated a gradual infiltration of existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties. Alinsky advised organizers and their disciples to quietly, subtly gain influence within the decision-making ranks of these institutions, and to slowly introduce changes from those platforms.

To use a southern metaphor, this is just like boiling a frog. You don’t throw the frog into a pot of hot water. You have to put the frog into a pot of cold water and slowly turn up the temperature. It’s a long term strategy.

But the GOP defines strategy as telling everyone to be more like Governor Christie. (Click below to continue)

Justifying Conservatism – Are You a Messenger or a Hindrance?

conservatism

by: Tanya Grimsley

Recently throughout my travels in the social networks I have discovered even more discord now then I did before the selection of Mitt Romney as the GOP candidate for 2012. I find myself wondering why some days and can come to only a few conclusions which are strictly my personal views or things that I have actually seen transpire among conversations that I witnessed.

In the world of social networking there are a few things that I have noticed more than others. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, on their own profiles.  To the numerous friends throughout whichever network you are on determines when it becomes another’s right to interject their thoughts and opinion. Herein lies a problem. In a group setting, a group is normally set up with a main topic as the core for the group. I will use for example “Allen West Republic” on Facebook. With its many members and diverse opinions, the structure which is based on the Allen West brand of conservatism can be many things to many people. Albeit the creators intentions were to keep things soundly about the message of Allen West and the things that he talks about. That is not always the case within this, or any group.

Everyone brings something different to the table when you are socializing. There are the strong-willed people, who believe only what they believe. There is no changing their minds. There are the middle ground folks who interact with everything and everyone to get the best circulating opinions. Then they take it to their friend’s and other groups or social networks. Then there is the meek minded, they tend to watch and never comment. They are generally clicking like on everything just to appease everyone because they are not quite sure where they themselves stand. In the end they are looking for the strongest, wisest answer to appear out of the conversation.

There are bloggers who have interests that are different from those who do not blog. Then there are those that aggregate articles from all over the internet. They take and post what is foremost on their minds. The ones that I love are the ones with a strong solid message. They stick to it, everyday, it is their niche’ it is what they do. They know it like the back of their own hand. They can answer any question or have anything you need available at almost a moments notice.

Willingness to help seems to be of short hand lately.  Since the GOP lost the election (no matter who or what the reason was – we lost) the divisiveness among people  is sad.  How do we ever expect to unite under a given umbrella at any point in time if we do nothing? How does passing the message of our own personal opinions and not taking criticism or listening to others views helpful? Why does everything become a battle among who is right and who is wrong? The message of unity is not sound, we do not reach out to one another, we are being selfish, stuck up snobs and its just getting worse.

How do we change it? Better yet………. will you take the time and change it? Do you see yourself as one who needs to change?

1. Conservatism – Conservatives

2. 100% Tea Party – Conservatives

3. GOP – Conservatives (not everyone who claims Republican/GOP is a RINO)

4. Libertarian – Conservatives (yes, I have numerous friends who are)

Look deep my friends. We are not uniting, we are not learning from this past election. If we throw in the towel, whether you are saying it was a million different things, there is no changing them.  We have and are certainly accepting defeat for ourselves and the next generations to follow. I ask you to look at your conversations. Especially those lately. How many times have you “given up” or said “he who counts the votes controls the outcome” or this one “my candidate should have been the GOP nominee and we wouldn’t have lost”. There are many more things I could list here.  I will refrain for now.

The conservative umbrella is HUGE. The effects that are rolling downhill have picked up a strong and steady pace. We are not only in jeopardy of losing again in 2016,  we also will greatly affect the many generations who come after us. I am not saying that standing by your personal opinions is wrong. What I am saying is unless we get to the roots of our problems as a whole. Address how to take this conservative banner forward as one, then we will lose our Republic.  We are hanging on a thread right now. The tyranny we see before us daily should have us in masses reaching out to those we  don’t see talking about things but are all over the social networks. We should be educating the young ones while there is still the opportunity.

I am a Bible believing, God-fearing, conservative. Daughter, Sister, Mother, Wife, Grandmother, and friend. There is nothing too big for God to fix. There is nothing that we are going through at this stage in our country that we can’t get ourselves out of with His help. Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.”  No matter the circumstances surrounding us now, or how outnumbered, how defeated, how depressed you may feel. The only way we can get through this together is to unite the entire conservative umbrella.

That starts with pointing the fingers at ourselves and saying……… am I just a blogger dumping my messages everywhere and never taking the time to go back and interact in a non confrontational manner?

Am I just a confrontation starter, you don’t see it my way so I will pound you verbally until you go away?

Or am I just the fence straddler, afraid to say how I feel? Do I let the other people affect how I will come to a conclusion on a given subject?

The point being, we must all take time to see the bigger picture. He or she may be “smarter” in certain things than I am.  Should that ever prevent someone from asking a question? The fear of being made a fool of  is a solid fear, whether by the person who posted or those participating in a  comment thread.  How do we expect to get our message to the young people before the next voting cycle when we can’t even treat each other as sources of knowledge instead of always being combative?

As always, looking for your comments. Your ideas. Thoughts and opinions. Trying to justify a behavior for the past conversations is not what this is about. It is where do we as a collective go from here. Also, why these other situations and behaviors must end.

I know there will be many people reading who won’t stop and see they are at fault, or even consider themselves in any way a part of the divisiveness. This will continue to tear the cause of conservatism apart. We have less than four years to get this right. Focus people, its the only chance we have. It starts with ourselves

Rep Allen West asks “Can I count on you to accept the challenge of defeating Obama?”

Friend,

Last week the Speaker gave a presentation on where we stood right now in our efforts to defeat Obama.  He said there is a possibility we could lose the House and Obama would once again be free to ram his ideas through the House of Representatives.

I stood up and said that I would take on the challenge of mobilizing 375,000 conservative supporters.

Obama is storming across America activating his liberal base and raising record sums of money. Without your help I fear he will win re-election and make his European dreams reality for all Americans.

Stand up to Obama and show him Conservatives are a united front with a gift of $25, $15 or $5.

This fight is so important that a group of House Republicans said they would match every gift made before June 18th.

That means your gift of $25 will actually be $50…

… a gift of $15 will be $30…

…a gift of $5 will be $10!

Can I count on you to accept the challenge of defeating Obama?

Steadfast and Loyal,

Here we stand again. Our Warrior, Leader, Rallier, and Voice, has fallen – Andrew Breitbart

PATRIOT ALERT: CRITICAL ACTION REQUIRED THIS DAY. READ THIS ARTICLE, THEN HIT ANDREW BREITBART LINK, ONE MILLION BREITBART’S, THEN HIT THE LIKE BUTTON AT TOP OF THE PAGE, AND POST SHORT MESSAGE ON BOARD TO JOIN THIS BATTLE…

In all the Critical Battles that have defined Civilization, there have been those decisive moments, in which the Battle was won or lost. So it was with Washington’s Undermanned, Under Fed, Ill Equipped, Army that crossed a Chilly Potomac, one Christmas night, and gave Birth to land called America. They had but two weapons the enemy did not possess, Truth and Courage.

It was Truth and Courage, that caused them to act on the Decisive moment, and Prevail against all odds. Decisive moments are fleeting, and when presented must be acted upon, or the window of Opportunity closes, and all that is left is a lifetime of regret, for what might or could have been. We “This Generation.” are now facing our Decisive Moment.

I believe nothing happens by chance, circumstance, or coincidence. I believe all happens by Providence. I believe God’s Perfect Plan, is revealed in God’s Perfect Time. For those that fight for Truth, I believe God makes Provision, and creates those opportunities, those decisive moments, that allow us to Defeat the Enemy, who seems invincible, greater in number, and armaments.

I believe God has now given us Such a time as this. Like so many of you the immediate hours after hearing of the death of Andrew, in my humanness I was shocked, dismayed, and demoralized. I then sought refuge in Meditation and Prayer. When arising I looked again, but this time through my Spiritual Lens, and not the limited lens of human eyes. All then became clear to me. Throughout history, God has used the most counterintuitive ways to exact his will, and plan, on mankind. “My ways are not your ways, saith the Lord. My thoughts are not your thoughts.” The ways of the Lord transcend our miniscule human understanding.

So here we stand again. Our Warrior, Leader, Rallier, and Voice, has fallen. Why God, when we face this moment that will Determine whether we be Free men, or Slaves, to the Evil Progressive Blight that inhabits our Land? Why God when we need Andrew most, would you take him away from us? For those who put on their Spiritual eyes, and ears, the answer came back loud and clear. God said, “Because my Fearful, and Timid Soldiers, it is now time for you to put on the armament of Faith, Courage, and Boldness. Courage resides in the heart of everyman, because I placed there. You must now find YOUR voice of Courage, through Self Determination. Andrew showed you the way, but Andrew was but one man. I need one million Andrew Breitbart’s to win back this land of the Free and Home of Brave.

I am part of the leadership team of Allen West Republic, and I stand ready unleash the assets of bloggers, tweeters, writers, radio outlets, and People Power to reach this goal of one million people. This will be our answer to Barack Obama’s one million member “Truth Squads'” that are mobilizing in the Battleground States. We must meet them with equal or greater numbers, but we will be greater, because we will possess the two weapons Washington” Army possessed. TRUTH AND COURAGE, AND A STRONG RELIANCE ON GOD.

I SALUTE THE VISIONARY WHO’S STARTED THIS PAGE, AND WANT TO BE PART OF THE HUMBLE SOLDIERS THAT ENJOIN YOU IN THIS FIGHT. PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU FEEL SO LED. IF OTHERS HAVE BEEN TOUCHED OR MOVED BY MESSAGE, AND FEEL AS I DO YOU ARE MY BROTHER AND SISTER. JOIN ME, AND
LET US TOGETHER MAKE THIS VISION OF ONE MILLION BREITBART’S THE PROGRESSIVES ETERNAL NIGHTMARE.

THIS IS NOT A SINGLE MOMENT, THIS IS A COMMITTMENT TO MOBILIZE AND COME TOGETHER FOR A LIFETIME. THE GROUND WE TAKE BACK WE WILL NEVER GIVE UP EVER AGAIN, SO HELP US GOD.

Presidential Race 2012: Imperfect Conservatives Need Not Apply – Lloyd Marcus

By Lloyd Marcus

The criteria embraced by the liberal media, Democrats, and some conservatives for selecting the 2012 Republican presidential nominee are quite clear: imperfect conservatives need not apply.  Conservative presidential candidates must have been born yesterday, not having lived long enough to break any of the Ten Commandments, make a mistake, or say or do anything stupid.

However, in their short time on the planet, our conservative candidate, along with possessing a “perfect past,” must display a masterful expertise of all topics foreign and domestic.  Anything less means that our conservative guy or gal is an incompetent idiot.

Then there is the Reelect Obama Liberal Media/Democrat multi-headed dragon, which is committed to completely annihilating any Republican challenger — the better to discourage all future challengers of liberalism. Our candidate is expected to flawlessly and masterfully battle this beast, winning every skirmish, lest we chorus that he or she is not quite presidential material.

Conservative presidential candidates unwilling to wear an “I heart Chaz” t-shirt are homophobic and vehement haters of homosexuals.  Conservative candidates not having at least one Kanye West song in their iPod are white supremacist redneck Tea Party racists.  Black conservative Republican candidates are obviously self-loathing traitors to their race suffering from Stockholm syndrome.

Meanwhile, the requirements for the Democratic presidential candidate are a bit less demanding.  The liberal media’s and the Democrats’ candidate can hang out with self-proclaimed America-haters.  Their candidate can say America has 57 states and mispronounce corpsman as “corpse-man” and still be considered a genius.  He can travel the world bowing to foreign leaders and apologizing for America.  He can wreck America’s economy, hostilely take over a private auto company, cram government-controlled health care down our throats, bully banks, and funnel money to his supporters via government bailouts.  A New York Times article reported that the Times‘s candidate has abandoned pursuing the white working class vote to target entitlement-minded, loser Occupy voters without anyone raising an eyebrow.

Liberal media and Democrats do not give a rat’s rear end about the character of their candidates as long as those candidates further liberalism.

The 8th Miracle To Save America – by Chuck Norris

by Chuck Norris via TownHall.com

Despite high unemployment, continued bad news across fiscal America and a presidency that has lacked luster and restorative productivity, Barack Obama’s stats continue to rival his top GOP challengers. And let’s not forget that he still has the mainstream media hypnotically backing him or that his campaign machine hasn’t even unleashed its billion dollars, according to Mike Huckabee, to combat his competitor.

Conservatives are right in asking, “Which GOP presidential candidate could survive, let alone have victory over, the Obama machine?” But maybe the strategy for victory lies in a unique plural solution.

Last week, I concluded my recommendation of the book “Seven Miracles That Saved America” by noting: “I also believe we need an eighth miracle to save America — a providential and pivotal moment that spares our country from falling off into four more years of the Obama transformational abyss.”

Here is what I believe that eighth miracle would look like. It’s not a single person, but a group of people, a formidable team — brought together by an unparalleled idea and unbridled patriots — that ensures the ousting of our incumbent president and the restoration of our country.

As a six-time undefeated world karate champion, I, like any long-term titleholder, will tell you that I obtained such a status by (among other things) mastering my opponents’ strategies, not approaching every competition the same way, and by leveraging my foes’ weaknesses and strengths against my own.

In a column a few months back, I introduced a martial arts practice that does just that; the art of jujitsu is to use an opponent’s weight and strength to your advantage. I believe that this is what the GOP candidates and anti-Obama citizens must do in the 2012 presidential election.

This presidential race is unlike any before it. It is unique on many fronts, not only by the size and formidableness of the Goliath in the White House but also by the unique wisdom, experience and skill set of each potential GOP presidential nominee.

The Myth of the Perfect Candidate – by Terry Paulson – SO VERY TRUE!

by Terry Paulson for Town Hall

Conservatives seem to be falling for the same myth that progressive voters fell for in 2008–the Myth of the Perfect Candidate! We need a better candidate–Maybe Perry or Christie will be the ONE! But as soon as any candidate throws their hat in the ring, their poll numbers soar only to be brought back to earth as “problems and limitations” surface.

There are no perfect political candidates. There are no perfect people. How would you like to have every questionable statement you make broadcast to the world and replayed for months? We seem to enjoy moving from adoration to attacking our own.

Vote principles and party over people. I don’t want another answer-giving leader who thinks they have all the answers. I want a leader who is driven by core American principles, who brings to Washington a cadre of leaders who share those principles and bring needed expertise to their responsibilities, and an unshakable belief in “We the People.”

We don’t need a political messiah; we need a leader who can stand strong, communicate a common sense vision of what is needed, cut spending and regulations, and rally Americans to bring our economy back.

No one man or woman has all the answers in our complex, changing world. We need humility, not hubris! Only the truly confident leader can admit that they don’t have all the answers.

Pope John XXIII knew his limits when he said, “It often happens that I wake at night and begin to think about a serious problem and decide I must tell the Pope about it. Then I wake up completely and remember that I am the Pope.” Every President must feel the same. They know the answers are out there, but who do they listen to?

Raytheon CEO Bill Swanson shares in his “Unwritten Rules of Management,” “Learn to say ‘I don’t know.’ If used when appropriate, it will be used often…. Confident people know their strengths and weaknesses, and they don’t try to BS you. You are not expected to know the answer to everything. Smart people simply say ‘I don’t know’–and go get an answer.”

No one can know it all, and if they said they do, don’t trust them. Wisdom is knowing how much you don’t know and getting the right people on the bus to accomplish what is necessary.

Teddy Roosevelt knew his limitations: “The best executive is the one who has enough sense to pick good people for what they want done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.” We need a President willing to let his people do what they do best instead of micromanaging what is done. We ought to ask Presidential candidates to list some of the people they would want on their core team and why!
