During Hanukkah, the American Jewish community remembers the victory of the Maccabean army led by Judah Maccabee against the invading Hellenic army, the restoration of the Holy Temple and the miracle of the oil in the 2nd century BC.

I don’t think President Obama cares much for Jewish history but he probably should, especially before calling PM Benjamin Netanyahu.

During a phone call between Obama and Netanyahu last week, the president reportedly asked Netanyahu “to take a breather from his clamorous criticism” of the interim agreement reached with Iran, David Ignatius reported for the Washington Post Wednesday.

Obama called Netanyahu last Sunday to discuss the interim deal reached with Iran – a deal the prime minister called a “historic mistake.” After Netanyahu reportedly “rebuked” Obama over the interim deal, he told Obama that the permanent accord “must bring about one outcome: the dismantling of Iran’s military nuclear capability,” the article said.

First of all I would recommend our man-child president not take on someone with a warrior’s heart in the vein of the Maccabees, who is a former Airborne Commando in the Israeli Defense Force.

This week’s plummeting approval ratings are bad news for President Obama, but they signal bad news for America as well, because we’re stuck with him for three more years.

As more and more information comes out about the disaster that is Obamacare, as well as lapses in national security that have allowed Islamist bomb makers into the US as “refugees,” one really has to ask if all of this is symptomatic of incompetence or something more sinister? As the picture continues to reveal itself, I have trouble believing someone can be that consistently stupid.

At least the truth about Obama and his progressive agenda is emerging, but we must stay focused and unified to ensure we elect principled conservative leaders who will be able to turn this ship around.

Remember the good old days, five years ago, before Obama established the “new” normal?

This was a time of white presidents you could criticize without being attacked as a racist. For me and my fellow black conservatives, it was a time when we wouldn’t be called an Uncle Tom because we didn’t support “the brotha.”

I long for the good old days, when gasoline prices passed $3 a gallon and I screamed at President George W. Bush from high Heaven. Gas prices settled below $2 a gallon before Bush left office, and the Left said it was because the Bush family killed Iraqi’s for oil.

Today, gas prices remain at least a dollar above “Bush gas,” and Leftists are spiking the football.

Americans are single-mindedly focused on one particular Obama lie: “If you like your healthcare plan you can keep it period.” This purposeful, blatant deceit of the American people, on top of past lies (such as a crude video being the impetus for the spontaneous demonstration resulting in the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya) has eroded any trust, confidence, and credibility for Barack Obama.

However, there is another lie which has far greater implications for American credibility: “Iran will not get nuclear weapons.”

According to the follow-on reports from the negotiations of the UN P5+1 and Iran in Geneva, President Obama, through his characterless mouthpiece, Secretary of State John Kerry, was willing to end all sanctions against the rogue Islamic regime for minuscule concessions.

Recently former Federal Prosecutor Andrew McCarthy wrote that “Barack Obama is guilty of fraud — serial fraud — that is orders of magnitude more serious than frauds the Justice Department routinely prosecutes” which in the private sector is a punishable crime.

A new Fox News poll reveals 50 percent of voters believe the President knowingly lied regarding Obamacare, and 40 percent believe he just didn’t know — but both of these figures are troubling.

The American people have been constantly lied to over the past five years, but have rewarded this bad behavior and therefore it continues.

Palm Beach Gardens, FL, November 11, 2013 — After last week’s elections in New York, New Jersey, and Virginia, the political pundit class had very unsurprising conclusions for the GOP. First, Governor Chris Christie will get the GOP presidential nomination in 2016. Second, the GOP needs to follow Christie’s model and become more moderate.

Therein lies the fundamental difference between Republicans and Democrats. Republicans play checkers, an impulsive, reactionary game while Democrats play chess. They develop a long strategic plan to be implemented incrementally, eventually attaining their objectives by any means necessary.

Saul Alinsky, the Chicago native, admitted Marxist and author of the book, Rules for Radicals is a legendary figure in the playbook of leftist, progressive tactics. Alinsky identified a set of very specific rules that ordinary citizens could follow as a means of gaining public power through revolution.

However, Alinsky’s brand of revolution was not characterized by dramatic, sweeping, or overnight transformations of social institutions. Instead Alinsky advocated a gradual infiltration of existing institutions such as churches, unions and political parties. Alinsky advised organizers and their disciples to quietly, subtly gain influence within the decision-making ranks of these institutions, and to slowly introduce changes from those platforms.

To use a southern metaphor, this is just like boiling a frog. You don’t throw the frog into a pot of hot water. You have to put the frog into a pot of cold water and slowly turn up the temperature. It’s a long term strategy.

But the GOP defines strategy as telling everyone to be more like Governor Christie. (Click below to continue)

Regarding the abandonment and murder of of Ambassador Chris Stevens, State Department IT Specialist Sean Smith and former US Navy SEALS Ty Woods and Glenn Doherty, Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton infamously ranted before the Senate Foreign Relations Committee “what difference does it make?”

Well, beyond her and President Obama’s obvious negligence, there is a new threat,: the proliferation of shoulder- fired Man Portable Air Defense Systems (MANPADS), one of the world’s most deadly weapons.

According to a Washington Times article these shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles are making their way into Syria and falling into the hands of al Qaeda as well as US-backed Free Syrian Army.

This evening I had one of those “out of body experience” runs. I got a nice 6 miles around PGA National where I live and just felt 32 years old. Now, of course in the morning I will feel 52 again, but then that is what they make Motrin for. God knows with Obamacare I had best take all the necessary preventive measures I can.

Anyway, while running I thought about the 2-hour meeting in the White House between 15 Democrat Senators and President Obama. These Democrats, especially those up for reelection in 2014, are freaking out. I had a humorous mental image of the meeting. Imagine Obama as Ernst Stavro Blofeld, Head of SPECTRE of James Bond lore, and there as well is the infamous SPECTRE defector Rosa Klebb played by Valerie Jarrett.

I hope everyone enjoyed a Happy Halloween and I hope you didn’t forget to “fall back” one hour as we exited daylight savings time this weekend.

It seems appropriate that in this week when our kids celebrated the time-honored tradition of “trick or treat,” we grown-up Americans were introduced to the same from the Obama administration. But it was mostly tricks – especially about the reality of the (not really) Affordable Care Act.

Last week there was a very telling CBS 60 Minutes segment by Lara Logan on Benghazi. Anyone believing this is a ‘phony scandal’ is part of the incredible cover-up being promoted.

It has been over a year and we still have no idea about the truth behind what occurred at the US Libyan consulate. Matter of fact, we do not even know of the whereabouts of President Obama that evening. His last directive, as he has stated, was to ensure those at the embassy got all the resources they needed, but for some reason that never happened.
