Too much incompetence from Obama to believe it’s not intentional
Written by Allen West on November 20, 2013
I’m back in DC for three days and therefore did my usual early morning run. As I ran past the Capitol and along the mall, I had an interesting thought. Since everyone has Oprah on the mind right now, remember when she referred to then-Senator Barack Obama as “brilliant”?
While running, I thought about the Obamacare disaster and if President Obama is so brilliant, how do you explain this abject failure? I began to ask myself, is this truly incompetence or possibly intentional — or both?
Obamacare is facing countless issues and the website is not really the most critical of the issues. The whole plan is based upon the flawed premise of forcing more young and healthy into exchanges to actually fund and subsidize, lower income and less healthy Americans.
More and more it appears that Obamacare has an intentional purpose of destabilizing and destroying the insurance market. There seems to be evidence of full knowledge of the adverse effects of millions of Americans being dropped from their individual healthcare plans, even as the President was stating Americans could keep their plans.

After enduring months of scandals, lies, and ineptitude, there can be no doubt America is at a crossroads. We must all decide whether the rule of law is still applicable in this Republic or shall we drift into becoming a progressive socialist dictatorship.
I know where I stand. The question is, will our elected officials have the courage to stand as well?
Watching the apparently mindless lemmings show up and cheer on an individual who has lied and deceived an entire nation on its most personal decision, healthcare, is just unconscionable. They are allowing their own freedom and liberty to slip through their fingers.
To still hear the countless droning of those who will make every excuse for what is blatantly a collapse of integrity and competence is simply astonishing.

After the recent debacle on Capitol Hill, instead of real forward progress, we have the same old tired “Beltway two-step” of “let’s have a committee meeting.” To paraphrase Alfonso Bedoya’s words as Mexican bandit leader “Gold Hat” in the 1948 film, “The Treasure of Sierra Madre:” “Meetings? We don’t need no stinkin’ meetings.”
Truly, we don’t need no stinkin’ meetings. The American taxpayer is tired of stinkin’ meetings that end up nowhere. We all know that next year on January 15 and February 7 (which happens to be my birthday), regardless of what President Obama says, the kabuki dance will be replayed. What we need are competent statesmen who will develop sound policies leading to economic growth.

Col. Allen West reviews the current scandals in Washington, D.C., and is amazed by the ease with which government officials lie, mislead and intimidate. Whether it is the Benghazi talking points, or the recently revealed NSA PRISM program, Col. West wonders whether the federal government is truly acting with the consent of the governed.
Rep. Tom Price of Georgia’s 6th Congressional District is determined to limit the IRS’ ability to enforce the Affordable Care Act, and talks to Col. West about the two-page bill he introduced in the House that would do just that. In addition, Col. West takes advantage of Rep. Price’s background as a physician to ask about the heartbreaking case of the 10-year-old girl denied a lung transplant over the Organ Procurement and Transplantation Network’s “Under-12” rule. Can government bureaucracies keep pace with medical science?
