Allen West “Harry Reid doesn’t care if you know the truth on Benghazi”

Last week there was a very telling CBS 60 Minutes segment by Lara Logan on Benghazi. Anyone believing this is a ‘phony scandal’ is part of the incredible cover-up being promoted.

It has been over a year and we still have no idea about the truth behind what occurred at the US Libyan consulate. Matter of fact, we do not even know of the whereabouts of President Obama that evening. His last directive, as he has stated, was to ensure those at the embassy got all the resources they needed, but for some reason that never happened.

@Kilmeade puts Allen West in White House: What next on Iraq?

by Allen West Published on Nov 1, 2013

AW Kilmeade

It’s not my idea – today on Fox and Friends, Brian Kilmeade put me in the Oval Office to talk about how I would respond to Prime Minister Nouri al Maliki’s request for help with al Qaeda in Iraq. Unfortunately, we missed a big opportunity when we did not leave a residual force in the region. But here’s what I would do now to try to clean up the mess Obama left:

Allen West “Normal? Deception from our President and allowing govt agencies to attack and intimidate American citizens?”

winner-loser1

Written by Allen West on October 29, 2013

This past weekend I was invited to speak on the campus of Valdosta State University in Georgia. The city of Valdosta is nicknamed, “Winnersville” because it has produced so many champions. They win, because they expect to win. That’s normal for Valdosta. But it’s no longer normal for America.

The new normal in America, a country now led by progressive socialism, isn’t about making winners or champions. It’s about creating dependents, and we’re all losing.

The new normal in America is a President who openly embraces the philosophy of wealth redistribution, as laid out by Karl Marx: “from each according to their ability, to each according to their need.”

So in pursuit of wealth redistribution policies, the new normal in America means our constitutional republicanism is being replaced by a Marxist/socialist ideal. This ideal is rooted in nationalizing production, broadening the dependency society, a sense of social utopianism

(fair share, fairness, economic and social equality), and most threatening, a secular humanism which replaces God, from whom our individual rights come, to government — trading the “Big G” for the “little g.”

We see this manifested in government spending at almost 25% of our gross domestic product (GDP). And mind you, this is a GDP limping along at around 2 percent growth, a dangerously weak economic recovery. To fuel the growth of this socialist welfare state, our national debt has grown from $10.6 trillion to now over $17 trillion in just five years. We’ve clearly lost control of spending.

Allen West “Foreign relations policy for the Obama admin, spy on our allies while embracing our enemies”

It was George Santayana who said, “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” It was Japan who had sent a delegation to Washington DC for talks as Admiral Yamamoto’s naval armada steamed towards Pearl Harbor. So history repeats itself as the US has begun negotiations with Iran. Yet according to nuclear experts at the Institute for Science and International Security, Iran could be just one month away from having enough weapons-grade uranium for a nuclear device.

Allen West “We need more of our retired Senior General and Flag Officers to stand up and speak out against the decimation of our fine fighting force”

Written by Allen West on October 24, 2013 for allenbwest.com

Cuts to the Marine Corps as mandated by sequestration are bringing the force to dangerously low levels. In 2011, the Marines announced they hoped to “right-size” the force after a decade of war from 202,000 to 186,800. But last month, Commandant General Jim Amos announced the Corps would need to reduce the Marine force to a “minimum acceptable” level of 174,000 as a result of sequestration budget cuts.

This week, while speaking at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, Major General Frank McKenzie addressed speculation that the force might have to be cut even deeper.

“Based on our review of the existing requirements today and our best-case projection for 2017, 150,000 would be an unviable number for the Marines,” McKenzie said.

While cuts to 150,000 are not likely, the reduction to 174,000 still means a cut to the fundamental unit of the Corps, the Marine Infantry Battalion. Since the Marines have already cut their end-strength (the maximum level of personnel authorized at the end of the fiscal year) from 202,000, which included some 27 infantry battalions, the 174,000 figure would require a reduction to 21 infantry battalions, as well as cuts to armor and towed artillery formations.

Allen West “Until America produces a president with resolve, who understands the history of this enemy, we shall not prevail”

Written by Allen West on October 23, 2013

Thirty years ago today, on an early Sunday morning, as our Marines slept soundly in their cots at Beirut International Airport, an Iranian terrorist smashed a truck filled with explosives into their barracks. According to witnesses, the blast was so enormous, it actually lifted the four-story building into the air before it came crashing down, killing 220 Marines. It was the single largest Marine loss since Iwo Jima and also killed 18 sailors, three soldiers and six civilians. At nearly the same moment, a second suicide bomber blew up a nine-story building on the other side of the airport, ending the lives of 58 French paratroopers.

Because there were those in Washington who didn’t want the US to appear “warlike,” the Marines were unable to defend themselves. The guards posted outside the barracks that Sunday morning were not allowed to carry live rounds in their chambers.

Sadly, most Americans don’t even remember this day. But our enemies do. And more importantly, our response.

“Americans must hope Allen West is correct in his assessments” via @wtcommunities @Dan_Gray_

AW20

Monday, October 14, 2013 – The Gathering Storm by Daniel Martin Gray for the Washington Times Communities

WASHINGTON, October 14, 2013 — At the American Majority New Leaders Summit in West Chester, PA on 10/11/13, I asked Lt. Col. Allen West, former Congressman, distinguished Army career officer, Tea Party favorite and potential candidate for President in 2016 a three-part question.

Given the Obama administration’s willingness to usurp powers Constitutionally mandated to Congress and their contempt for courts, did he believe that President Obama would go so far as to use a real or false-flag event as cause to abrogate Posse Commitatus, and use American troops against citizens on American soil?

Would Generals give illegal orders directing the military to act against peaceful citizens?

Would American soldiers follow illegal orders or mutiny?

West immediately scoffed at the first with a flat “No”. He strongly denied the second, citing high professional standards and ethics of military leadership. He entirely dismissed the third as even a possibility, praising the servicemen and women of our nation as dedicated and devoted to their oaths to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.

Perhaps West is right.

He certainly knows firsthand the character of those who serve as leaders and volunteers in our Armed Forces, and many of the patriots that now rise to meet the challenges of a government that knows no limits in pursuit of raw power. He is no stranger to conflict in service of our country, whether with deadly force abroad against foreign enemies, or in peaceful politics at home against domestic ones. He has become a touchstone of the movement to restore constitutional government. Americans must hope he is correct in his assessments.

But Americans must also recognize the factors that turn a peaceful protest into a violent mob; that make dedicated public servants behave like monsters. Emotions run high. Restraint by citizens and training of officers only runs so deep. With the Executive so eager to execute, how far will they push before they push too far? How far will the American people allow themselves to be pushed?

Allen West ” How can the Members of Congress look these men and women in the eye?”

Allen West

by Allen West via Facebook

On my usual morning run I like to stop and chat with the brave men and women of the US Capitol Hill Police who safeguard the symbols of American liberty and our Members of the legislative branch. However, this morning our normally cheerful chat was disturbing. It seems these men and women who were standing their posts in the rain, as they always do, have been deemed non-essential and will not be getting paid, but they will continue to man their posts. How can the Members of Congress look these men and women in the eye? The Officer this morning asked me one simple thing, “Please Sir, speak up for us.” I can imagine the families of our fallen Warriors who have been denied death gratuity payments from this administration are asking the same. Who are we as a Nation? Where is our sense of character? I implore us all to speak up for the men and women of the US Capitol Hill Police, and all who serve. Call the office of your Members of Congress and ask “where is your sense of character?”

Allen West “Chuck Hagel should resign and the head of Fisher House should be appointed Secretary of Defense, since the Obama administration”

AWontrGreta

by Allen West via Facebook

It is not just that the Obama shutdown strategy is to inflict pain on American citizens, he is also using it to punish our once best Arab ally, Egypt. It seems that Obama has chosen this moment to shut off aid to Egypt, under the guise of the government slimdown, right as his Muslim Brotherhood buddies are stepping up their terrorist attacks against Egyptians, especially Coptic Christians. Nope, you are not going to hear a peep from Obama about the persecution of the Copts from his “moderate” comrades who represent the granddaddy of radical islamist terrorism. Consider this, Obama denies death gratuity benefits to the families of our fallen Warriors. He cuts off aid to an Egypt that has been thrown into a vicious sectarian, civil war of his doing through support of a Muslim Brotherhood government. What does this tell you about our so-called President? For my liberal progressive socialist friends and supporters at CAIR, truth is a good medicine, and I intend to provide y’all with constant doses. In closing, Chuck Hagel should resign and the head of Fisher House should be appointed Secretary of Defense, since the Obama administration has deferred to him to care for our military families. So much for big government over American benevolence. http://bit.ly/1eaov3w
