During Hanukkah, the American Jewish community remembers the victory of the Maccabean army led by Judah Maccabee against the invading Hellenic army, the restoration of the Holy Temple and the miracle of the oil in the 2nd century BC.
I don’t think President Obama cares much for Jewish history but he probably should, especially before calling PM Benjamin Netanyahu.
During a phone call between Obama and Netanyahu last week, the president reportedly asked Netanyahu “to take a breather from his clamorous criticism” of the interim agreement reached with Iran, David Ignatius reported for the Washington Post Wednesday.
Obama called Netanyahu last Sunday to discuss the interim deal reached with Iran – a deal the prime minister called a “historic mistake.” After Netanyahu reportedly “rebuked” Obama over the interim deal, he told Obama that the permanent accord “must bring about one outcome: the dismantling of Iran’s military nuclear capability,” the article said.
First of all I would recommend our man-child president not take on someone with a warrior’s heart in the vein of the Maccabees, who is a former Airborne Commando in the Israeli Defense Force.
There are many (me included) who think his repeated lies about keeping your healthcare plan and unconstitutional edicts are grounds for impeachment. As long as Democrats control the Senate, that’s probably not going to happen – but perhaps there’s light at the end of the tunnel after 2014. In the meantime, one can always hope he’ll do the honorable thing and resign.
Americans are single-mindedly focused on one particular Obama lie: “If you like your healthcare plan you can keep it period.” This purposeful, blatant deceit of the American people, on top of past lies (such as a crude video being the impetus for the spontaneous demonstration resulting in the deaths of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya) has eroded any trust, confidence, and credibility for Barack Obama.
However, there is another lie which has far greater implications for American credibility: “Iran will not get nuclear weapons.”
According to the follow-on reports from the negotiations of the UN P5+1 and Iran in Geneva, President Obama, through his characterless mouthpiece, Secretary of State John Kerry, was willing to end all sanctions against the rogue Islamic regime for minuscule concessions.
It was George Santayana who said, “those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” It was Japan who had sent a delegation to Washington DC for talks as Admiral Yamamoto’s naval armada steamed towards Pearl Harbor. So history repeats itself as the US has begun negotiations with Iran. Yet according to nuclear experts at the Institute for Science and International Security, Iran could be just one month away from having enough weapons-grade uranium for a nuclear device.
Recently the Council for American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) bestowed upon me a great honor, they listed me in the top ten of individuals and organizations they fear. CAIR is an unindicted co-conspirator in the largest terrorism financing case in America, the Holy Land Foundation trial. It is basically a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood in America. Also, it seems CAIR has a history of meeting with Iranian leadership, the largest state sponsor of Islamic terrorism, during the annual UN General Assembly. I have yet to hear or see CAIR on any TV, radio, or newspaper op-ed pages explaining the recent vicious attacks by Muslims against Christians in Pakistan and against innocent shoppers in Nairobi. To be forced to recite a koranic verse or die is simply barbaric. To conduct a targeted attack against Christians departing from church services is savage, not just in Pakistan, but in Nigeria, Egypt, Syria, and all across countries with Muslim governance (or lack of it). If saying so makes me an ‘Islamophobe’ so be it. It just confirms that CAIR, and their ilk, fear those who will relentlessly confront them with the truth. Lastly, to those who have the “COEXIST” bumper stickers on their vehicles, read Solomon’s Proverb 17:28…you may may want to scrape it off.
President Obama stated at the end of his 16 minute speech, “terrible things happen across the globe….we should act, that’s what makes America exceptional.” I find his words utterly disgusting because tomorrow we will remember four Americans who were abandoned by President Obama to die in Libya. I found no righteous indignation and call for a moral obligation to avenge and punish their islamic terrorist murderers – matter of fact, Obama called it a “phony scandal.” Christians are being butchered daily, where is his outrage? Israel is taking rocket and missile fire, where is his outrage? Some 100,000 Syrians had been killed by conventional munitions, and this was not the first chemical attack, where was his outrage? Obama has shown incompetence and weakness and has not presented a credible threat to Assad and Putin. If he wanted to respond he could have, God knows he did not seek congressional approval for Libya. He has been strategically outmaneuvered by Putin, lost the initiative, and allowed Putin to look like a statesman while he looks like a confused community organizer.
Thanks to Obama’s ineptitude, the balance of power is shifting in the Middle East, and it’s not in our favor. In a couple hours, we’ll watch the President take credit for avoiding military action no one supported – thanks to his “deft diplomatic touch.”
The fact is, Syria is not our problem, it is the problem of Vladimir Putin and Russia, and whether or not they want Syria to fall into the hands of Islamists. Strategically, if Obama wanted to have had an influence, he would have maintained a residual force in Iraq. But campaign promises override strategic vision.
The real fight in the Middle East for America is against the Muslim Brotherhood and their spawn — and Iran. They must be defeated.
Syria should be seen as a long chess game, deserving of patience and skill. Obama has neither. Listen to Col. Allen West’s take on what should be done in Syria and the region. Or rather, whether anything can be done.
@PJTV @AllenWest As President Obama prepares to address the nation tonight about possible military action in Syria, everyone has something to say about the matter. The situation should be seen as a long chess game, necessitating patience and skill.
Watch the latest video from Allen West, and “LIKE” and “SHARE” it:
It’s Obama and his acolytes are embarking upon a media blitz to convey a failing message of US military engagement in Syria. Why should we listen to President Obama? He didn’t listen to the American people on Stimulus, Obamacare, Fast and Furious, IRS scandal, NSA, not to embrace the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, and various other actions contrary to our Constitution. Most egregious was Obama not listening to the American people, and without Congressional approval, taking his unilateral venture into Libya creating an Islamist base of operations. This week we shall remember the four Americans who were abandoned by Barack Hussein Obama and Hillary Clinton as they came under attack a year ago on 9-11. I am imploring and encouraging those Americans who love this country to embark upon their own blitz. Starting Monday through Tuesday evening, melt down the White House phone lines, email, Facebook, and Obama’s twitter with a simple message, “Remember the Benghazi 4.”.Where are Obama’s exertions and media blitz over the murder of Ambassador Christopher Stevens, IMO Sean Smith, Ty Woods, and Glenn Doherty? NO to military action in Syria. Remember the Benghazi 4!
