Allen West “Going in behind enemy lines”

os-orlando-sentinel-todays-buzz-allen-west-for-001

Last week Bill O’Reilly asked me if I would be interested in leading the Tea Party. I certainly don’t believe one needs to be officially “anointed” to be recognized as a leader and voice for conservative principles. But I will gladly take that message from coast to coast.

Today I will hit the airways and travel to Utah and the Chicago area. It will be my first time ever in the state of Utah and I will be there to support a fantastic young conservative Congressional candidate, Mayor Mia Love. Mayor Love truly represents the future for the Republican party, and for our resurgent conservative movement. Hers is a story of American exceptionalism and the opportunity society for which so many have fallen for in our Republic.

Of course being a black conservative means she has the ire of the progressive socialists. If you are in the Salt Lake City area, come out to the Salt Lake Community College campus and spend some time with Mayor Love and myself.

I will then travel over to the Chicago area, yep, going in behind enemy lines, to speak Thursday evening at an event sponsored by the Young America’s Foundation and the Northwestern University College Republicans. The event will be held at Harris Hall and the topic will be “Should the U.S. use military action to spread freedom?” The event is open to the public so please come on out. National Military Strategy relating to our national security objectives is vital and it’s an issue that doesn’t get enough attention.

Finally, I pray everyone enjoyed a very memorable and special Veterans Day. Mine certainly was. I am so very humbled to have announced on Veterans Day the first book I have ever written, Guardian of the Republic: An American Ronin’s Journey to Faith, Family and FreedomYou can pre-order a copy here.

Guardian

The title truly symbolizes the purpose for all of us who have donned the military uniform of the United States of America. Next year, I look forward to touring and signing many copies for my fellow countrymen and patriots.

Allen West “Refuse the Borg, resist the Collective, and remain Steadfast and Loyal!

Obama Borg

by Allen B. West

If you followed any of the various Star Trek incarnations, you no doubt have been introduced to an alien race called the Borg. These creatures have been turned into cybernetic organisms which function as drones of the Collective hive mind. The Borg force other species into their collective via a process called “assimilation” which entails violence, abductions, and injections of microscopic machines called nano-probes.

The Borg’s ultimate goal is “achieving perfection” – at least as far as they define it.

My dad taught me an interesting maxim, “Never read your own press and never drink your own tub water.” It was advice I didn’t understand as a young fella, but fully comprehend today: don’t get full of yourself. I never read articles written about me. However, when I can, I read your comments to see what y’all are thinking. Thanks for your words. It just never ceases to amaze me how liberal progressives never address the issue or the point being made. Calling me Uncle Tom, saying I’m a war criminal who should be in prison – what a bunch of chuckleheads. All they’re doing is proving liberals and Alinskyites are devoid of the intellectual rigor to engage in valid debate and would rather engage in petulant whining – just like their Dear Leader, President Obama.

About to board a flight out of BWI heading to Phoenix to join my family. This is our first family vacation in nearly 6 years and we are attending the Fiesta Bowl football game.

Angela and I both have degrees from Kansas State – of course she has two (BS and PhD) to my one Masters – she is such an overachiever!

We are excited about seeing the Wildcat Nation take on the Oregon Ducks. All the best to Coach Snyder and the K-State Wildcats. When Angela and I were only recently married Coach Snyder first showed up in Manhattan, the Little Apple, and we remember the phenomenal job he did in transforming the football program and the University.

We will be enthusiastically cheering you all on……EMAW (Every Man a Wildcat)

Congratulations to my colleague, Tim Scott, on his appointment to the Senate. It’s been about 4 decades since there’s been a black GOP member of that chamber – and seems like about that long since it has passed a budget…

Alfonzo Rachel Bluntly Lays Out the Facts About Guns and Tragedies in Black Communities

Published on Dec 6, 2012 by

Liberals like Jason Whitlock want you to believe that the NRA killed Kansas City Chiefs player Jovan Belcher and his girlfriend. Zo tells you why the NRA is not the KKK, and reminds you who is really to blame for this murder-suicide, in addition to other tragedies in black communities.

Tattered and Torn, Will You Rise Up?

5893412979_cf33ab529d

As I sit here thinking about all the terrible things going on in our country and worried about what is to come, I try to grasp for understanding and pray for piece of mind. Since November 6th many of you have sworn off the news, the postings, the fight for our republic and more. You are either sad, scared, beaten down, discouraged and maybe even more, or all of this combined. I understand the mental wear and tear it has taken on many of us and some days I have no words to describe how I feel but today is not that day.

Our country is still a good country, Our God although pushed back into the distance will still be the winner (here’s a little hint, I’ve read the Book, I know how it ends). Through six hours of what was eternal Hell, through brutality and unspeakable cruelty He has paid for the transgressions of this nation. We sit and we think, Oh, Lord, what have we allowed to happen? How can this be? Can it get any worse? What are we witnessing, how can we relate it to scripture and figure out if this truly is the end of times according to His word?

You see, we have this life, this one given opportunity to stand up for what is right. When the going get’s tough our human nature doesn’t want to get going, but our spiritual good side knows that if we don’t stand up and take action that every drop of blood that was shed at Calvary and the Wars that have been fought to give us our freedom’s and liberties are being tossed aside and taken in vain.Did the great foraging of this nation seem like it was an easy task? Reading through my history books I do not remember it being a delicate undertaking. Did they want to give up??? Well heck, they had every reason too, but they didn’t. So what we are witnessing today is discouraging, the takers are outnumbering the doers, Santa Claus reigns and God and the solid foundations of this country are taking back seat. How long do you truly think HE will allow this continue? Well, like a thief in the night, no man knows what time the Son will return.

So, do we give up or continue the fight?

Here is my heart, I will not, while there is breath in me quit this fight. I will not be silent. I will not only profess these actions but I will live by them and find the niche that I am best suited to fight for and focus on it. Spreading yourselves all around the issues trying to keep up with it all is where the frustration is building. The elections and the fraud have discouraged a massive amount of people. I could go on for days with the amount of communications that I have with friends who have heavy hearts but the bottom line is this. Find your niche, get into that groove, zoom in on something that is nearest and dearest to your heart….. now I know a lot of you will say EVERYTHING concerns me, well, it does me too but we must retreat, refocus, regroup and reach a common goal of getting this Republic back on its feet. By the time this President is done with our nation in 4 more years it is going to need every one of us on the ready to pick up the tattered and torn pieces and reconstruct what has been torn apart.

We CAN do this, we WILL do this and if you can find it in your heart to remember how it all started and how it all will end then you know that we must work together for the common good. Stand Up my patriot friends, do not be discouraged any longer. We can, one piece at a time put this back together but we must take the right path. There is no use saying you choose to lie down, when it feels impossible to stand up. In spite of our outward circumstances and the downward spiral of moral, economic, political, and social conditions we are witnessing today we must stand up and be heard.

God bless you my friends, stay in the fight.

Rep. Allen West “Prayers for those hit by the storm, and a few other thoughts this week”

by Congressman Allen West on Friday, August 31, 2012 at 3:40pm (taken from Congressman Allen West’s Facebook Page)

To our Constituents, fellow Floridians, and all Americans, greetings,

There will be no weekly update for this week as the predominant topic would be the RNC Convention and according to ethics rules it cannot be discussed using official Congressional channels.

However, let me take a moment to express a few thoughts. First of all my wife Angela, daughters Aubrey and Austen, and myself  want to convey our most sincere thoughts, prayers, and condolences for those here locally, in Florida, and across the Gulf States region who have suffered and lost friends, loved ones, and their homes as a result of Tropical Storm/Hurricane Isaac. May God be with you at this time and wrap His loving arms around each of you.

And as we prepare to enjoy another Labor Day, even with gas prices skyrocketing to an average of $3.79, please remember our men and women in uniform who labor everyday to be our Guardians of America’s honor, and our liberty, freedom, and democracy. Keep them in your prayers this weekend as you enjoy your last days of summer.

In closing, to the 23 million Americans who are unemployed, like Lynn, who I met Friday morning coming back from Tampa at the Racetrack gas station in Okeechobee, the underemployed, and the discouraged Americans who seem to have just given up…gird yourselves to find courage and strength on this coming Labor Day weekend knowing the Cavalry is mounting up and coming to your rescue.

The greatness and exceptional nature of America and Americans shall always triumph over the misconceived empty promises and failed policies of one individual and his blind disciples.

Steadfast and Loyal,

Allen

Rep. Allen West has a little fun with the Press Corp

By MACKENZIE WEINGER  via POLITICO

Rep. Allen West said Thursday he won’t be speaking at the Republican National Convention — but that he’ll be slinging hot dogs in Tampa instead.

“I want everyone to know if you come to the Republican Convention I’ll be selling hot dogs,” West told reporters on Capitol Hill, according to a tweet from freelance reporter Matt Laslo.

Of course, the Republican congressman was joking, as West’s communications director confirmed.

“Congressman West will not be selling hotdogs outside of the Convention hall, even though we all like the idea of opening The Colonel’s Hotdogs since we’re pretty confident we could do it on our own,” Angela Melvin wrote in an e-mail. “They would be beef hot dogs and condiments would be free.”

Melvin also used West’s hot dog joke to jab at President Barack Obama for his “you didn’t build that” gaffe

Rep Allen West – “There are people on the other side that are actually tracking every little thing I say”

The Congressman related a story to his audience about the time one of his staff members introduced him to a Think Progress article titled “Rep. Allen West’s 15 Most Outrageous Statements.”

“So, I go around and there’s a website she has up,” Rep. West explains, “And it was hilarious!”

Why is it “hilarious”? Rep. West explains:

There are people out there on the other side that are actually tracking every little single thing I say. And they had the top ten things that Allen West is saying. And you know? It really started to look like a bunch of whiners: “He said nuts!“ ”He said he doesn’t want a liberal message in America!“ ”He said…”

You know?

What I can’t understand for the life of me is how people on the other side can certainly dish it out, but when you stand up on principle, when you tell them what you believe in, they can’t take it! They act offended and they act hurt.

Rep. West’s remarks were met with cheers and applause.
