Twelve hours from now Ms. Mackenzie Weinger of Politico will interview me on the subject of Al Sharpton’s role in the media in connection with the Trayvon Martin case. My response will be based upon this quote from Booker T. Washington, circa 1911, “There is a class of colored people who make a business of keeping the troubles, the wrongs, and the hardships of the Negro race before the public. Having learned that they are able to make a living out of their troubles, they have grown into the settled habit of advertising their wrongs-partly because they want sympathy and partly because it pays. Some of these people do not want the Negro to lose his grievances, because they do not want to lose their jobs.” Now, I do not know the agenda of Ms. Weinger. However, as I watch the destruction of the black community in America, I have had it with the politics of race baiters who use iambic pentameter sing-song speech to anesthetized blacks from the reality of their demise.

  2. Thank You Allen West, say it loud, say it clear, lets realign the nature of race in our country……

  3. Col. West do not forget to inform all that it is THE MARXISTS in the NON-LEGITIMATE federal gov’t, along with the USURPER Soetoro/OBAMA who are driving the race-baiting agenda! Please Col. West, my reputation and that of other fine veterans and patriots is on the line here! WE have stood behind you and have presented you as a leader WE can trust! Jack Powers for The Sons of Liberty

  4. Thank you, Mr. West, for your integrity and courage to speak out against injustices. If we can defuse the race-baiters, all different races can live in harmony and result in a better America. I believe that is what you are working for, which makes you a hero in your own right. Thank you, also for quoting one of my favorite authors, Booker T. Washington. He accomplished great things in his time; unfortunately, he was outnumbered then, as your kind is now, but we must keep plugging away at it.

  5. Thank you Colonel West for presenting THE TRUTH. You and Dr. Ben Carson are my heroes. I am a Caucasian female -former teacher of 31 years in an urban public school system. The truth is what is needed to heal our American Dream. I have NEVER been fearful of encountering young men of any ethnicity. A simple respectful greeting and a smile is what it takes – with a sensible amount of awareness of surroundings for other signs of criminal activity which can take place in any location. Please continue your very much needed work. With YOU and Dr Ben Carson leading this country, our American Dream can continue forward-Upward and Onward toward freedom and democracy for everyone. Pleases thank your wonderful parents for their exceptionally outstanding guidance in leading you toward a life of respect for others and all of the characteristics that it takes to LEAD others toward striving to become the best that they can be.
The Golden Rule would go a long way in healing many of the misunderstandings of all people in all cultures. Bless you and your family for the role models that you provide for ALL Americans. amen from Rosalie Waldrop, retired educator from Fort Wayne, IN
