Rep Allen West “Individual Sovereignty and Freedom to Succeed is not granted by Government Agencies”

Congressman Allen West wrote the following messages on Facebook today

I would like to wish the constituents of Florida’s 22nd Congressional District as well as my fellow Americans a very happy and blessed Thanksgiving.

It is my deepest hope, that as the citizens of this great nation sit around their tables today, they will be thankful to be Americans, where individual sovereignty and freedom to succeed is not granted by government agencies or officials, cannot be taken away in the name of fairness, but is embedded in the Constitution, with liberty and justice for all.

May God bless you and your family, and may God bless the United States of America.

Grateful Reflection on Our Blessings – by Allen West on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at 9:18am

Today I, along with my wife Angela, and my daughters Aubrey and Austen, join Americans from sea to shining sea in gathering together for a special meal of Thanksgiving. Regardless of who we are or our origins, we will all take a moment to reflect on the bounty that is ours as citizens of these United States.

It is appropriate to take these moments of grateful reflection, even during moments of disappointment.  Serving my constituents in the House of Representatives has been one of the highest honors of my life, and I am deeply thankful to have had that opportunity.

As a result, this Thanksgiving will be a particularly bittersweet celebration for my family, as I expect it might be for many families across the country.

Nonetheless, we shall sit down together as a nation today and give thanks for all that we do have. No matter how lavish or how meager our celebration, as Americans we are all still imbued with the same unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

I wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, and all of God’s blessings.

  1. Happy Thanksgiving, Colonel, and your wonderful family. I am honored to have met all of you.

PS: Your little buddy, Jake, ate Blue Crabs instead of turkey! See ya soon

  2. Happy Thanksgiving, Colonel, and your wonderful family. We gave it our all, all in our own way to get you back in the mix! May the Good Lord open other doors for you as you promote the well being of our great country and demonstrate to others that we still have leaders with character and integrity.

  3. God Bless you Colonel , You deserve so much respect and honor and I thank you for all you have done and tried to do. Our Nation needs you!! Please don’t leave US. Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The dealer was dirty and the game rigged from the start. You .we never had a chance. Thank you for trying . God Bless you and your family . Bitter sweet is right.

  4. Thank you for all you,ve done for our great and beautiful country. God bless you and your family.

  5. Colonel West, you are the only Republican that ran for election that contested the voter fraud rigged result. Romney/Ryan had their election stolen from them and simply quit then made excuses. If they had demanded a recount it would have exposed the massive criminal conspiracy to steal the election which likely took over a year to plan. With the exception of yourself, the entire Republican establishment appears to be guilty of allowing a non-natural born fraud reoccupy the WH in order to “complete what we started”. Your steel spined resolve and clear voice had to be silenced to allow the completely unworthy people in congress to not feel like the lying thieves they are. God Bless You and your family and God Save us all.

  6. Dear Colonel West,

I was moving out of State at the time I saw you running for Office on the corner of SR 7 back in 2010. I was overjoyed to hear you were elected and equally saddened to hear of the negative results just recently.
I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas, and I hope to see your name up for President in 2016. Godspeed.
