WEST RAISES OVER $4 MILLION IN THIRD QUARTER 2012, HAS OVER $3 MILLION CASH ON HAND
Stuart, FL – Today Allen West for Congress released FEC numbers for the third quarter of 2012 showing over $4 million in contributions and over $3 million cash on-hand. For the cycle, West has now raised over $14.5 million.
Allen West for Congress campaign manager Tim Edson offered the following statement:
“Allen West’s principled conservative message stands in stark contrast to Patrick Murphy’s empty rhetoric and business as usual nonsense. Allen West’s enormous grassroots fundraising in Florida’s 18th Congressional District and across the country is evidence of the enthusiastic support driving our campaign.
With this report, Patrick Murphy’s desperation will only grow. Every day, Murphy’s lies, smears and phony poll numbers reinforce the fact he’s just a spoiled brat throwing a fit because his campaign is on the ropes. As the DCCC cancels advertising on his behalf and abandons his campaign, he is realizing his father’s money isn’t enough to save him and he’s lashing out.”
A recent survey by Public Opinion Strategies showed Allen West leading Patrick Murphy among likely voters by 52%-41%. The survey shows Patrick Murphy is deeply in trouble with only 34% of respondents having a favorable impression of him. Clearly, his campaign is on its last legs.
