Once again, the President has demonstrated his disdain for the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of our private sector.
Yesterday, in response to Governor Romney’s comment that President Obama’s new, more stringent fuel economy standards were “extreme,” President Obama quipped: “Maybe the steam engine is more his speed.”
Well, maybe President Obama ought to get his head out of his rhetoric and visit Cyclone Technologies, right here in South Florida. Cyclone is a small business employing talented American workers who are developing a 21st Century steam engine that is fast, powerful, clean, fuel-flexible and efficient enough to beat the stringent CAFE standards.
Yes, Mr. President, they DID build that.
Cyclone is also working with the U.S. military to make our forces’ power supplies more efficient, and developing other ways to turn waste into energy using their steam technology.
Promoting independence from foreign oil and supporting American jobs comes from small businesses like Cyclone, not from increasing government regulation.
