Rep Allen West’s Statement on President Obama’s Affront to the American Military

(WASHINGTON)— Congressman Allen West (R-FL) released this statement today in response to the lawsuit Obama for America and the Democratic National Committee filed against the Attorney General and Secretary of State of Ohio in reference to giving the military three extra days of early, in-person voting:

“As a retired Army officer, I am appalled at the Obama campaign’s actions to bring a lawsuit against the State of Ohio for the early voting privileges it extends to our men and women serving in uniform. To have the Commander in Chief make our United States servicemen and women the target of a political attack to benefit his reelection actions is reprehensible.  Unfortunately for all Americans, this President has never served in the military, so he has no comprehension of the lives our troops lead.  Military voters deserve special flexibility as they are often subject to restrictions, uncertainties, and risks that often make it more difficult for them to vote.

The voting privilege extended to these members of the armed services who represent the best among us should not be attacked by a President who is more concerned about his reelection than sequestration.

As a 22-year combat veteran, for this President to unleash his campaign cronies against our military is unconscionable.  How dare this President compare the service, sacrifice, and commitment of those who guard our liberties to everyone else?  Barack Obama is undeserving of the title Commander-in-Chief.

I pledge my full support to veterans organizations such as the National Guard Association of the United States, Association of the U.S. Army, Association of the U.S. Navy, Marine Corps League, Military Officers Association of America, the Reserve Officers Association, the Association of Uniformed Services,  as well as others who are taking this battle head on. This lawsuit is an affront to our men and women in uniform.”

  2. I have a GREAT Deal of Respect. I wish he was our President. However, if you are going to monitor his sites…PLEASE PLEASE go to the other sites. You don’t know what is going on in OUR Country.

  3. I especially like him because he has the courage to say EXACTLY what he means; and MEANS what he says!
    Lack of that insane amt of $ to run for President is hampering people like West. Surely, there is a better way to do it.
    Just allow me to play with an idea. Remember months and months ago when they had the debates on Fox? Those were especially helpful in informing us what each one stood for.
    Why can’t we have that instead of who has the most $ rules!?

      • Unfortunately, it doesn’t surprise me that the four who stand against Sharia Law were tossed aside or ignored: Bachman, West, Palin and Newt Gingrich as Mitt Romney plans to start a Charter School for Islam with U.S. Tax Dollars!

  7. Allen west should be our next president.he doest kiss our enemies butts like obozo does.and he supports not only us veterans,but all of our brave men and women still serving.

    • He IS an amazing man. He came out and named those in D.C. on the Communist List. Now! He also is very much against the Muslim infiltrating Our Govt.
      Just like Bachman, Palin, Gingrich — now West will be pushed aside due to the Muslims.
      Why in the world are we even considering what they want.
      They GIVE NOTHING to us as far as industry, art, science or Peace.

      I wondered after 9/11 why in the world would they allow Muslims to come here without Background checks?
      It is like with the Illegals……there are too many to deport….SO….I would think that the answer is TO MAKE SURE
      EVERYONE understands they will “assimilate into OUR society”….and NOT PC for theirs.
      I thought about this and it hit me like a hammer yesterday.
      We already have laws in place for the illegals and the Muslims
      For the Illegals: The laws read that you cannot rent to them; sell them a house; employ them; or allow them to live with you or it is a huge huge fine!
      With the Muslims?
      Our Constitution is NOT compatible with Sharia….A LAW NEEDS TO BE IMPLEMENTED NO SHARIA (that was Newt’s MOST POWERFUL SPEECH.

      The Muslims are not happy!
      They’re not happy in Gaza
      They’re not happy in Egypt
      They’re not happy in Libya
      They’re not happy in Morocco
      They’re not happy in Iran
      They’re not happy in Yemen
      They’re not happy in Afghanistan
      They’re not happy in Pakistan
      They’re not happy in Syria
      They’re not happy in Lebanon.

      So, where are they happy?

      They’re happy in Canada
      They’re happy in Australia
      They’re happy in England
      They’re happy in France
      They’re happy in Spain
      They’re happy in Italy
      They’re happy in Germany
      They’re happy in Sweden
      They’re happy in the USA
      They’re happy in Norway
      They’re happy in every country that is not Muslim.

      And who do they blame?
      Not Islam.
      Not their leadership.
      Not themselves.

      THEY BLAME THE COUNTRIES THEY ARE HAPPY IN, AND THEY WANT TO CHANGE THEM TO
      BE LIKE THE COUNTRY THEY CAME FROM WHERE THEY WERE UNHAPPY.
