Rep Allen West “Today is a somber anniversary. On March 23, 2010, Obamacare became law”

Dear Friend:

Today is a somber anniversary. On March 23, 2010, Obamacare became law.

In 2011, voting to repeal Obamacare was among my first votes as a member of Congress. Just yesterday, I voted to repeal the Independent Payment Advisory Board, a panel of unelected bureaucrats empowered to deny seniors life-saving medical procedure deemed too costly.

But our efforts to repeal Obamacare and dismantle its most insidious parts are being stymied by President Obama and Senator Reid.

With liberal control of the White House and Senate in jeopardy this November, House Democrats and their liberal allies are preparing an all-out offensive to protect Obamacare. If they win back the House, we will not be able to repeal this disastrous legislation.

I hope you stand with us in the fight back by contributing $50, $25, or even $10 so we have the resources to hire staff, build organization and take our conservative message directly to the voters—bypassing the corrupt, liberal agenda of Obama’s allies in the press.

Two years ago, President Obama said this plan would lead to lower healthcare premiums for families and small businesses. He said it would reduce the deficit. He said it would protect patient choice and let Americans keep their doctors. And he said it would improve access to healthcare.

The fact is, healthcare premiums have increased by $2,200 for the average family.

The latest CBO estimates show the Obamacare will increase the deficit over the next decade.

It is now clear the Americans will not be able to keep their doctors. Medicare was slashed by $575 billion to fund Obamacare, meaning many doctors will no longer be able to afford to treat Medicare patients.

Worst of all, the unelected bureaucrats of the Independent Payment Advisory Board still have the power of life and death.

This is why we need you to join me. On this somber occasion, rededicate yourself to the fight ahead by making a donation of $50, $25, $10 or whatever you can afford toward a conservative House and the demolition of Obamacare. Together we can ensure Obamacare doesn’t live to see a third anniversary!

Steadfast and Loyal,
LTC(R) Allen B. West
Member of Congress
